Ben & Jerry's Karamel Sutra was possibly the most amazing ice cream to ever grace my freezer draw. But unfortunately, I'm sad to report that it's been AWOL from the supermarket shelves for quite some time now. It was a limited edition ice cream from Ben & Jerry's which meant its eventual disappearance was inevitable at some point but that doesn't mean it won't return at some point - especially if the manufacturers read lots of reviews like this!


The texture of this ice cream is just amazing. It's smooth, it's slick, it even coats your throat on the way down. It's jam packed with a great huge dollop of caramel sauce swirled right through it and together with the ice cream it makes for the softest, smoothest texture I've ever had in an ice cream. The ice cream itself is a mixture of chocolate and caramel flavour and is absolutely gorgeous.


To really appreciate this ice cream you should leave it to thaw for a good half an hour, up to an hour if necessary. In fact I used to put this in the microwave to speed the process up a bit! The caramel tastes completely different when thawed slightly to what it tastes like when frozen stiff.


This stuff was sickly sweet but in such a good way. I couldn't eat more than half a tub of this on my own even if I wanted to because it's so sweet but boy does that half a tub go down well. The Ben & Jerry's retail price is £3.99 for a 500ml tub though like I said, this isn't currently on sale. Here's hoping for a swift return though.
