Advantages: Tastes quite like ice cream, low fat

Disadvantages: VERY expensive

I've been in a bit of an ice cream mood recently and one of the flavours I've been sampling all different versions of is the good old, traditional strawberry! One version I have tried is Ben and Jerry's low fat Strawberry Cheesecake frozen yoghurt.

This ice cream can be found in all supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda however it can also be found in cinemas, dvd stores and petrol stations as well as some newsagents. It can always be found in the freezer section alongside the other Haagen Dazs ice creams. Often this is in amongst other branded ice creams such as its rival Haagen Dazs.

The frozen yoghurt comes in a 409ml pot. The pot costs £3.99 normally or there abouts. However often there are offers on where you can get it a bit cheaper or get an offer where you can buy one and get one free. Sadly at the moment there are no offers on though. Personally I think this price is extortionate even for a high quality, branded product like B&J's.

The pot is very attractive and stands out in the freezers. It is made out of a thick cardboard and the lid Is also a tough cardboard. The main colour scheme for this pot is a pale icy blue colour. In the middle of the two icy blue sections is a nice looking pink strip. This is filled with lots of pictures of juicy looking strawberries as well as some golden brown pieces of biscuit. There is the usual Ben and Jerry's logo on the front too. My little brother was very amused by the little picture of the cow on the front too! The lid is a deeper blue in colour and boasts that it is not only low in fat but it is also great tasting!

Once you remove the main plastic lid, you then have to take off a foil lid. This is just to protect the ice cream. It looks gorgeous. It is a delicious creamy colour with visible pinkish red pieces in it. There are also some delicious looking pieces of cookie in it but there are not many on the top as they are distributed evenly throughout!

The frozen yoghurt is gorgeous. It tastes very similar to ice cream however the only difference is that it is slightly less creamy. It does resemble yoghurt slightly but it isn't sour at all. The pieces of strawberry are really sweet and almost make a little red sauce. The pieces of biscuit give a great texture and taste really like digestive biscuit.

One quarter of the tub only contains a tiny 1g of fat which is absolutely excellent.
It is very expensive though so its wise to look out for offers.
