~~~~~~~~~~ Ben & Jerry's ~~~~~~~~~~ Ben & Jerry's ice cream was founded by Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield and has now been brought by Unilever. They met in school and several years later after many unsuccessful and unenjoyed jobs they both attended a $5.00 course in ice cream making and after investing $12,000 they then opened their first 'scoop shop' in a gas station in Burlington, Vermont in 1978. It didn't take long for them to become very popular. Ben had no sense of taste so he relied on what he called 'mouth feel', and big chunks of all sorts of ingredients, especially chocolate became their signature, and it is still is to this day. ... What girl doesn't love ice-cream? I love it and I always make sure there is some in the fridge. I don't care what kind of ice-cream it is either but asked what I prefer then without a doubt Ben and Jerry's every time. Ben and Jerry's ice-cream has been around for 30 years now although not being that old, i've only really used it for two or three years when suddenly it became popular and replaced the hype that came and went with Haaagan Daz. Ben and Jerry's are like a lot of companies these days, they only use the best ingredients including free range eggs and they source most of their ingredients and products to make their ice-cream from local people as much ... Bohemian Raspberry is a PUN on the great Beetles song, and it would be hard for Ben & Jerry's to match it. However, they have with the brilliant taste, texture and fun packaging to match. The only thing holding it back is the high price, but it is worth it as everyone will love the product. The packaging is in the same style as other B&J's products, so it is very fun to look at and is very bright, making it easy to spot. However, this comes at a cost. It is quite hard to read the small print. The container is very easy to open, but it is also easy to come off. The taste is always the same, something left to be desired by other ... Ice cream has always been a favourite in my house! Mum, two brothers and I, enjoy a nice chilled bowl at least 4 times a week! Everybody in my house has different tastes when it comes to the delicacy however, brothers keen for chocolate flavoured ices, mum keen for the lemon and fruit based ice cream, and me, keen for almost all types, however my favourites being caramel/fudge/toffee flavours, or a nice strawberry cheesecake flavour! As we get through so much ice cream, my mum usually opts for the cheap varietys, normally supermarkets own brands, or on occasion the "finest" supermarket varietys! I always used to look in to the freezers and dream of ... Read the complete review
I have always loved Ben and Jerry's delicious flavours of ice cream and think I must have tried them all by now, so when I saw they had brought out a new flavour I headed to the shops. I found this new Bohemian Raspberry flavour in my local tesco. A bit of history... Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield opened their very first ice cream store back in 1978 in Burlington, Vermont, after a series of unsuccessful jobs and Jerry's failed attepmts at medical school. Their natural ice cream became increasingly popular in the community but found they were not making any money. The following year they learnt a bit more about book keeping and began selling thier ...
