I can never quite decide whether it is Ben and Jerry Cookie Dough or Cherry Garcia which is my favourite flavour, I do tend to vacillate between the two depending on my mood, personally I find this one the most addictive while Cherry Garcia is more refreshing on a very hot day. Ben and Jerry is not a cheap brand to buy, a tub of this will set you back £2.99 in my supermarket which is why I only buy it when it is on special offer. This ice cream gas a lovely creamy vanilla ice cream base to it, added to this is small amounts of caramel ice cream which give it a nice sweet taste and then the fillings are a combination of small dark chocolate chips and ... I am a fan of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. It tastes better then most ice cream, and there is a nice choice of flavours to pick from. There is however the issue of the price. It costs around £4 for a rather small tub. This however could be seen as a good thing. If it cost less, everyone would be buying it all the time (i know i would be). That would be bad in the respect that it would not be so special. I buy it ocasionally to treat myself. I dont always have a tub in the freezer (though i do right now). If i had it every day, i wouldn't appreciate it as much. Also if it was cheaper, i would buy more, and simply become fat. Now that wouldn't be good. This ... Read the complete review

I was wandering around Sainsbury’s over the weekend, after a hard day’s mystery shopping, when I was irresistibly drawn to the ice cream section. In fact, I always am. Strange, that. Anyway, this time, I decided I wanted to try some new flavours, so I bought three tubs of Ben and Jerry’s, which I will share with you. Of course, I’ll only share my wisdom, not the ice cream itself, so put your tongue away! My favourite ice cream is Haagen-Dazs Cookie Dough so it was natural my first choice should be the Ben and Jerry’s version – Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. I am not really impressed with B&J’s packaging, as it is ... Read the complete review

On 27th August 2009 I bought a pot of Ben & Jerry's 'Cookie Dough Ice Cream'... Hmm, she harboured latent grudges at having to shell out £3.99 for only 500ml of a frozen dessert you might think, but it isn't about the money it's about the fact my daughter Aced her GCSE results that special day and this is what she asked for as a treat. Now I was well impressed with my baby Goth at requesting such a humble reward for what was a monumental achievement...until after she'd eaten the entire tub in one afternoon and then promptly asked for an iPod Nano, Arghhhh! My daughter has since developed an expensive fetish for all things Ben & ... Read the complete review

It was 1986 when Ben and Jerry's first came up with the idea of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream. It really was a brainwave. It took them another five years to perfect it and it first became available to the public in 1991. (Now how's that for the perfect job: Ben and Jerry's ice cream tester?) It was, of course an instant success. What it basically is, is vanilla ice cream with lumps of chocolate chip cookie dough. The story behind its development features a group of sorority girls in Vermont who had gone into a grocery store and bought packs of chocolate chip cookie dough and taken the across the road to the Burlington Scoop Shop (Vermont). They had ... Read the complete review
