Advantages: Amazing flavour, doesn't taste low fat

Disadvantages: Pricey

Ben & Jerrys really can do no wrong in my eyes! I love all their ice cream flavours, love the quirkiness of the packaging and the fact they took on the corporate giants and won! When i heard they had started doing low fat frozen yogurt i was delighted. At last i could munch away and feel a lot more angelic and less guilty. I went along to my local supermarket expecting to find 'healthy' fruit flavours and was ecstatic to find this.

What Ben & Jerrys say:
They say they have concocted a dessert to ease our conscience and still have the same great taste.

What's it like?
The tub contains lucious creamy chocolate frozen yogurt that i swear tastes just like chocolate ice cream. There are pieces of real chocolate brownie thrown in for good measure. This does not taste to me like a low fat product. It tastes naughty and that is the brilliance of this product. Unless you are an ice cream conisseur (im not just a pig!) you really can't tell it's low fat. You get 409g in the package and according to the nutritional info per quarter if a tub there is 180 calories and only 1g of saturated fat. I really don't know how they have managed to make it taste this good without it oozing fat and calories. Don't get me wrong this is not something i would eat every day, or even every week but every so often when i get the ice cream urge i now go for this or the strawberry cheesecake frozen yogurt.

The yogurt contains dairy, what and soya for those who have particular diets to watch out for.

The downside:
This stuff ain't cheap. At £3.99 per small tub it's not going to be something i buy regularly. But, maybe that is a good thing. I think the high price keeps this in 'treat mode'. If it was cheaper i'd buy it regularly, eat it all the time and undo the fact its low fat.

Fab stuff!

Summary: Great treat dessert.
