Advantages: Smooth, creamy ice-cream with delicious brownie chunks!

Disadvantages: a little more expensive than most brands but totally worth it!

Simply heaven in a pot! I absolutely love Ben & Jerry's, unfortunately I can't buy it all that often as it's quite expensive so I occasionally buy it as a treat for me and the other half. When we do buy it, we take as long as possible to eat it, savouring the flavours and the fact that we're eating such nice ice cream! Haha!

There's several different flavours of Ben & Jerry's available now, but chocolate fudge brownie is by far my favourite. Being a bit of a chocolate fiend I believe that the more chocolate there is the better tasting its going to be, and by god how right is that with Ben & Jerry's?

- Packaging -

The Ice cream comes in a little cardboard tub and lid which is completely recyclable with the famous Ben & Jerry's logo on the front with the picture of delicious brownies in the background. The nutritional information etc is all clearly stated on the back along with the ingredients.

- Price -

I buy my Ben & Jerry's from Asda, and just recently they've 'rolled back' the price from £3.88 to just £3 for the 500ml pot! Which makes it a little better, it's totally worth it. If I had the money I'd buy a lot more but unfortunately for me money is tight so I only get to buy some every now and then. Also on offer in Asda at the moment is the smaller 150ml pots, which are 4 for £5!

- Ingredients -

Cream 28.5%, Water, Sugar, Skimmed Milk, Cocoa 4.5%, Egg Yolks, Stabilisers : Guar Gum and Carrageenan. The fudge brownie is made up of ; Fudge Brownie 13% (sugar, water, wheat flour, cocoa 7.5%, butter, eggs, egg whites, invert sugar (Cane Sugar Syrup), Soya Flour, Salt, Vanilla Extract, Raising Agent : Sodium Carbonate)

- Nutritional Value -

- Overall -

The chocolate brownie flavour is just to die for. The smooth chocolate ice cream with delicious chunks of real chocolate brownie that tastes like it's straight from the oven (apart from it being frozen obviously), makes the ice cream so more-ish that you'll happily sit there and eat the whole tub! haha!
The ice cream is smooth and creamy, and not at all sickly like some cheap ice creams. It's best to leave the pot to defrost slightly to get the perfect taste. There's nothing worse than eating rock hard ice cream, it's got to be melted just a little bit, especially with the chocolate brownie flavour, as the brownies soften up really nicely and melt in your mouth.

With so many different flavours to choose from there's something for everyone. On sale at Asda in the 500ml pots are ;

Caramel Chew Chew
Chunky Monkey
Cookie Dough
Vanilla Toffee Crunch
Half Baked
Phish Food
Chocolate Macadamia

Each one is just as delicious as the other, but the chocolate brownie flavour is my favourite. It's tasty, more-ish ice cream that's totally worth paying a little extra for. Me and my boyfriend have happily sat there and eaten a full tub to ourselves before now, it's that nice.
I'd recommend anyone who loves their ice cream, to give Ben & Jerry's a try, so it's a little more expensive but you'll not regret it. If you're not sure on what flavour to try then why not buy a few of the smaller 150ml pots while they're on offer at Asda, that way you can see what your favourite is.
