Ben & Jerry's Half Baked

Nearly in raptures my daughter's grubby little paw extended quickly into Morrison's freezer compartment where all their iced desserts and frozen goodies are kept... With lots of "Ooohs" and "Ahhhs" she pulled out her expensive treasure of 'Ben & Jerry's Half baked Ice Cream' and gazed at me beseechingly. Ben & Jerrys ice cream is on offer at £1.90 a tub in Morrisons at the minute so today I brought 2 and am eating a bowl of Half Baked right now. I haven't tried many of the Ben & Jerrys ice creams but this is my favourite and is even a bit better than the Cookie Dough one that I love as well. It's chocolate ice cream that has got lumps of raw cookie dough and pieces of chocolate brownie in it. Ben and Jerry's is one of my expensive pleasures. I've always enjoyed it, usually flitting between Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge Brownie depending on what took my fancy. So when I discovered Half Baked, I was very excited - a mixture of my favourite two ice creams all together! I had never seen the flavour 'half baked' before, and at first gave it nothing more than a cursory glance. You see, for me the choice of which to buy has always been easy. Unlike my wife, I am not a chocoholic, and so do not require the 'overload with chocolate' flavours, which basically leaves me with cookie dough or Phish Food. Some of the best ice cream is produced by Ben and Jerry's and this is another classic. The vanilla and chocolate combination is perfect and the extra textures create a wonderful feeling. However, the high cost is the only thing keeping this from becoming part of the Great British Diet! The packaging is very bright and colourful. It is very fun to look at, but this makes it hard to read with small text on a dark background.
