Advantages: Sweet, Chocolaty, Thick, Great Texture

Disadvantages: Bit Too Sugary for Some

Ben & Jerry's Phish Food is a luxury ice cream for those with a sweet tooth who like a bit of a chocolate overdose every now and again. It's quite pricey at £3.99 for a 500ml tub but well worth every penny. Also, you can often get it on offer in the supermarket for 2 for £5 which is an absolute bargain.


You need to let this stuff thaw for at least half an hour when you take it out of the freezer before you eat it. It's got a really thick texture and you can't even get a spoon in until it's had chance to thaw a bit! The ice cream is chocolate flavour and absolutely to die for. If you've ever had the other chocolate flavours in this range (like chocolate fudge brownie) then you'll already know what I'm talking about. It's super sweet and super thick though it's not as creamy as say Haagen Dazs chocolate ice cream is.


Swirled into this in ample amounts are loads of little marshmallows, caramel sauce and loads of little chocolate fishy shapes. It's a great mixed texture as you get the smooth, the squishy and the solid all mixed into one great dessert here. The taste is super sugary so this is best served in small amounts even where sugar gluttons like me are concerned.
