Ben & Jerry's The Full Vermonty

... with a mad profusion of flavours, but it is quite sweet all the same. Like all Ben & Jerry's ice creams, it comes in a very colourful tub. The front of the tub bears the Ben & Jerry's logo and shows red and golden Autumn leaves against a sky blue background. The allusion to the film, 'The Full Monty', is also cleverly encapsulated by the zip up jacket on the front of the tub. As you would expect, 'The Full VerMonty' is high in calories. A 100g serving contains 280. The nutrition information (...more

Premium Review Ben & Jerry's The Full Vermonty: Not A Nutless Wonder! (1234 words)

Oh yeah, this has got to be one of the best ice creams I have tried EVER. I am slowly working my way through the Ben&Jerry's flavour selection after receiving a free one in my delivery from Tesco.com. I'm normally a Haagen Dazs girl but I've tried most of their flavours and fancied a change. -The Full Vermonty- {~{~{~{~{~}~}~} The description on the tub tells me that it's a maple ice cream with roasted pecans and a caramel swirl. Oh yeah, oh yeah. I love maple syrup, adore pecan nuts and I don't know a single person who doesn't have a liking for caramel (I'm sure you will tell me if ...  Read the complete review

"I’ve got something special for you,” said my husband, “A real treat.” “Oh yes?” I responded, somewhat vaguely. I was pleasantly full of shepherd’s pie and red plonk. Sitting comfortably curled up on the settee, dog tucked up behind my knees, I was only slightly curious. “How about some full vermonty?”, he insisted. “What!” I was startled. I sat up. The dog barked. “Now or later?” he insisted. To be honest I wasn’t really in the mood for, well, you know .... all I wanted was a mug of coffee and maybe EastEnders. But, hey, too ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ben & Jerry's The Full Vermonty: OK, where are the male strippers then?! (671 words)

Having said, many times, that I am going to stop wandering around supermarkets and buying things that I don’t need, but forgetting the things I actually went in there for, I found I simply cannot stop! I went to Sainsburys recently for a change, and couldn’t resist seeing what differences there were in this supermarkets stock as compared with Asda, Tesco and Somerfield. It proved a huge mistake when I walked down the ice cream isle as I saw a tub of Ben and Jerry’s “The Full Vermonty”. I had already read a DooYoo opinion on the stuff, but I’m not a huge fan of nuts in ice cream and didn’t think anything more of it until ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review NUTS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM (580 words)

Yes another opinion by me about something that I shouldn't be eating! Ice cream, well I blame my hubby really he has had a real craving for the stuff and so I get to try out loads but not eating too much so I suppose its ok really!! Anyway on the opinion of the gorgeous ice cream - Ben & Jerrys The Full Vermonty, this has got to be the best flavour I have tasted yet! Be warned if you dislike nuts or are allergic to them then this flavor is not for you, but as neither of those apply to me then I can eat as much as I like (within reason). Before I go any further I will give you the description on the tub "Maple Ice cream, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ben & Jerry's The Full Vermonty: It's Worth the Full VerMonty! (667 words)

having tried quite a few of Ben & Jerry's ice creams in the past, I have always been amazed at how good they are. So, of course, it's no surprise that I had to buy 'The Full VerMonty' when on a recent trip to Sainsbury's. First, let me tell you a bit about the company itself. Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc. was founded in 1978 by two friends, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. The two friends completed an ice cream correspondence course, and soon became renowned in the local community for their innovative flavoured ice creams. Although they tried to make the ice creams 'fun' by using a range of different flavours, their most ...  Read the complete review
