... long time I associated the name with washing!! Anyway, special occasion or not, it is always nice to have a treat from time to time and I can thoroughly recommend these quality mints. The good thing about this box, is that there are six different types to choose from, so there is something to suit everyone, for those who prefer the fondant type to the crispy ones. ***Availability*** Whilst they were a present, I have looked on the Tesco website and they are around £4 a box, although they have 80p off until the end ...more

BENDICKS MINT COLLECTION Like many mums yesterday I was pleased to get my presents, one of which was a lovely box of Bendicks Mint Collection. Having already devoured at least one of each of the types in the box, I felt qualified enough to write a review! ***What are they like?*** These mints come in a stylish green box, with a picture of the mints on the front. There are six different types of mint, which are tastefully individually wrapped inside. The different types are: *Intense English Mint *Victorian Mint *Milk Crisp Baton *Bittermint *Dark English Crisp *White Chocolate ...  Read the complete review

Im a huge fan of chocolate and to be honest im rather fussy when it comes to what type and which make of chocolate im going to eat or buy. I wont buy shops own versions of things because they are just not the real thing. However, for Christmas, one of my lovely volunteers gave me a box of 'Bendicks - Mint Collection' and i have to say they were rather scrummy. *History lesson* Bendicks have been around since 1930 and was founded by two men who go by the name of Mr Benson and Colonel Dickson, hence the name Bendicks (and for some reason i keep calling them Benedicks) and they have become world famous for their taste and quality of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bendicks Mint Collection: Pea Green and Poo Brown (901 words)

Doesn't quite have the same ring as "Snow white and Rose red", does it? Green used to be favourite colour, but only deep strong jade greens, or fresh dewy grass greens, not pale wishy washy pea greens like the colour of a Mingles box. Brown has never been up there in my top 10, not least because it was a colour I was forced to wear from head to toe for 6 years at school. Since these are the two colours of the Mingles packaging they might not have appealed to me had I seen them in a shop, but then I never did. Instead, I read all the ops that seemed to appear within a matter of hours on the site a few months back, and immediately dropped a few ...  Read the complete review

Ooooooh now we're talking! I have a very sweet tooth and have always adored dark chocolate and peppermint cream so a box of these is heavenly! Bendicks are a long established producer of quality choccies, especially mint creams. A glance at the packaging shouts "Class! Buy me - I'm expensive and worth it!" This gorgeous mint collection is encased in a slim firm cardboard box in a deep green colour with gold lettering and an extensive "menu" on the back. A box of these will cost you around £3-£4 depending where you buy them, obviously supermarkets are the cheaper option where they are often priced at around £2.99 to £3.49. I have to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bendicks Mint Collection: Green Magic - Not Black Magic! (526 words)

Bendicks was founded in 1910 by Mr Benson and Colonel Dickson – hence the name BEN DICKS! Starting as a single shop which sold the finest handmade chocolate. The name Bendicks soon depicted the reputation for quality and excellence. In my opinion, the Bendicks of Mayfair’s Mint Collection is the “Rolls Royce” of the chocolate box world. I adore these chocolates so much that I only ever buy them for a special occasion and at Christmas because once opened, I just cannot resist them and unfortunately will consume the whole box, not at once you understand, but during the course of a few evenings. It is hard to ...  Read the complete review
