For dinner this evening I tried, for the first time, Bernard Matthews ham and cheese chicken escalopes. I bought them about 2 weeks ago in Asda for the bargain price of 2 packs of 2 escalopes for £3.00. I put them in the freezer and forgot about them until today. I cooked them from frozen for 20 minutes on 220 degrees whilst I prepared the rest of my meal. I checked on them after the 20 minutes and they looked golden brown and smelled delicious, one thing that did happen though was the ham and cheese filling spilled out of the breadcrumbs a bit and oozed onto the baking tray. Having Bought Bernard Matthews Products for years I thought We as a family would try something not previously tried in their range of foods. It was to be the 3 chicken escalopes made from 100% breast meats turn. What made me buy them? Simply this ! I was looking for something a little different from the normal foods we buy and found these on the frozen shelf of Morrison's supermarket. The thing that stood out for me was the brightly coloured packaging which is in the background a nice scene of Norfolk. This is mainly sky blues and green with a white cloud or two for added effect.
