Ok, so here's my confession- I have a large stock of these fish fingers in my freezer, my kids love them, they're quick and easy to cook and when I'm feeling totally lazy I'll even grill some up with some potato waffles and present them to my husband for tea, no it's not really the most nutritional of meals overall but after a day with 2 crazy toddlers, an even crazier kitten, a husband on a long holiday and generally looking after the house, I just sometimes don't have the energy or inclination to make something more nutritional. Birdseye Fish Fingers- Birdseye began running what they call their "store cupboard initiative" recently ... Read the complete review

I love fish fingers - and must confess to being somewhat fussy about them. Whereas with many other items, I'm happy to buy the shops own economy version - fish fingers for me HAVE to be Birdseye. This is mainly because many economy brands are made from the mysterious 'Minced White Fish', which tastes pretty disgusting, and leaves me concerned that I don't know exactly what's in the product. Birdseye have been advertising a lot lately- and it's all positive - food frozen within the hour, no additives, preservatives, colorings or e-numbers- which means I can be guaranteed that I, and more importantly my daughter, are eating good quality ... As a child, I always remember tea time and my mum or dad asking me what I would like for tea. And without a doubt, the same answer would apply every time “Fish Fingers, Chips & Beans!!!”. I was quite a fussy eater when I was younger and tended to stick to the same foods. Foods I knew I liked and wasn’t fussy about. I think I was first introduced to Fish Fingers when I was about 3 and staying over at my Granny’s. I remember she got them as a treat and I loved them ever since! When I had my little school friends round for tea, it was inevitable that fish fingers would be one of the popular choices. ** BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON BIRDSEYE ... Read the complete review

Americans Call them Fishsticks! Us Brits? Well its all about the Fish Fingers!! I remember the days when I used to sit and watch the TV and when the Birdseye adverts came on me and my sister would just scream Aye Aye Captain at the television. Anytime I hear that, I don't think of sailors or ships... oh no! I think of the great Captain Birdseye!! What's best about Captain Birdseye? The Fish Fingers!! I love them! I went through the stage of "Mam can I have fishfingers tonight? Can we have fishfingers for dinner? Mam can we have fish fingers instead?" The last one I'm told was when I was 6 and everyone was sat with there Sunday Roast and ... Read the complete review

~ Birds Eye Fish Fingers ~ ~ Fantastic Fingers of Fish ~ ~ Birds Eye Background ~ Birds Eye is an international brand producing frozen foods such as seafood, meat and vegetables. Their method of fast freezing preserves the quality of food and keeps in the freshness which is why their products are usually seen as healthy food and hasn't got the reputation other frozen food products have - 'frozen food isn't as good as fresh food.' A man called Clarence Birdseye noticed while on a fishing trip that the fish he caught (near the artic) froze quickly but when thawed still had that fresh taste, from this information Birds Eye was born and ...
