When I go to Cooltrader I always get a few boxes of the Birds Eye chicken breasts in different flavours because they are nice with chips or cut up in a sandwich. My fave is the Cracked Black Pepper one because it's yummy and quite spicy so it goes good with mayo to cool it down but it's still hot enough to put some life into a tortilla or pitta bread.

You cook it in the oven for about half hour and then it's ready to put on your plate or slice up for your butty. Be careful with the glaze though because it gets hot when it comes out of the oven and when I touched one last week to cut it up it was that hot that it left a blister on my finger!

The chicken is very fake tasting and I reckon some people are put off by the processed texture of it that makes it wetter and not as firm as a proper chicken breast. It tastes nice though and I love the peppery flavour that I think goes really nice with the chicken. It's not that spicy that you can't eat it but it does get quite strong if you eat the chicken breast too quick and then the pepper can get a bit too much.

It's nice and soft and I love this chicken in a tortilla with loads of salad and some blue cheese sauce because that makes the pepper flavour softer but gives in an extra nice creamy taste as well. They're not greasy tasting but when they are cooking they leave a lot of liquid on the baking tray but I don't think all this is oil because the glaze melts into like water and I reckon a lot of that is whats on the tray.

I think these are quite filling but if I had one on its own I don't reckon it would fill me up for long because it's quite a small chicken breast but with chips or even mash it's a filling meal that's a nice change from boring plain chicken breasts.

In Cooltrader they are only 99p for 2 chicken breasts and I think that's great value because even though they are a bit fake tasting they are as good as normal chicken I reckon and tastier as well.
