The Bird's Eye crispy chicken is an item that I often keep in my freezer as it is very handy to make up as part of my evening dinner. The Bird's eye chicken comes in a bright coloured box that is yellow and orange. This means it is quite eye catching and stands out in the freezer compartment when I am in the supermarket. The Bird's eye chicken is in a cardboard box and contains two pieces of chicken. The box was on offer in my local Asda supermarket recently and it only cost £1. The chicken is really very easy to cook as all I need to do is pop it into a hot oven on a baking tray and it only takes about twenty minutes to ... Read the complete review

Having read the other reviews on 'dooyoo' I'm not even 100% sure we're all talking about the same product, because I can't imagine anyone paying £2 to £3 for a packet of two of these things. To my shame I went through a short phase of buying Birds Eye Crispy Chicken when it was on extreme special offer at Tescos about six months ago. Two - I don't know what to call them (and apparently, neither does Birds Eye, since "2 Crispy Chicken" which is what it says on the box, does not - when you think about it - actually mean all that much. Come on, we're not ordering from a Chinese restaurant menu or fast-food takeaway, here. You'd think the ... Read the complete review

I have only recently converted back to eating meat after almost a decade of being a vegetarian. The transition for this was particularly difficult, as it's mainly the flavour of the meat and certainly the texture that put me right off it in the first place. My boyfriend quite enjoys crispy chicken and so i'm used to cooking it and now that we are both eating the same thing, I decided that it would be a good idea to try out this product in an attempt to make the cooking process easier. You get two of these in one cardboard packet, and there is no additional packaging inside, which is good because there isn't such an impact on the environment, and the best ... I adore chicken. So does my daughter, and so does my boyfriend. Thus, in an ideal world, I would cook a fresh and complete chicken every time I based the protein part of a home cooked meal around this particular poultry choice. However, in reality, there is not always time to cook the meat accompaniment to the repast from scratch, so to speak, in which case most of us rely on a 'quick fix' out of the freezer... On purchasing certain frozen items I have to be ever mindful of the calories/fat ratio contained within a savoury-based foodstuff; and so have been known before today to be seen lurking over a huge supermarket chest freezer with my Weight ... Currently, Asda have these on offer at £1 for a box of two , which is what prompted me to pick them up . They have three varieties - the original Crispy Chicken, Soutern Fried, and Hot and Spicy. I purchased the Crispy Chicken version. I feel I was a little mislead into buying them - I'm very fussy with chicken, I don't like re-formed meats, so generally, things like nuggets and dippers are out . So the fact that the front of the box said '100 % Chicken Breast' made them seem like a good bargain - it wasn't until I got home that I realised there were little words over the top saying 'made with'. Still, atleast theres none of that horrible sounding ... Read the complete review
