What are they? Vegetable Fingers are a mixture of potato, carrots, peas & sweetcorn all coated in breadcrumbs. They look very similar to fish fingers, but are a lot tastier! These are excellent if you find it difficult to feed your kids vegetables, or if you're like me and need a quick fix veggie meal for a Friday night other than pizza! Ingredients Sweetcorn, Carrots, Peas, Water, Potato Flake, Egg White Powder, Salt, Rice Starch, Yeast Extract, Onion Powder, Mustard, Wheat Flour, Yeast. I love trying new foods it adds to the excitement of shopping and my meals so when I spotted a box of Birds Eye Vegetable Fingers in Iceland I had to try them out. It wasn't only me I was thinking of here either though it was my 21 month old twin boys - they are already sticking their noses up at broccoli and cauli on their plates so this was going to be a way of feeding them some sort of vegetable without completely scaring them off. It's a lovely grass green and sky blue colour with the Birds Eye sailor standing in the corner proudly ... Read the complete review

It says on the box that there are no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. When you take these fingers out of the box the breadcrumbs look quite pale, they look a lot like chicken or fish fingers which is why I think my son likes ... Read the complete review

I have been eating vegetable fingers for years now. It must have been about 15 years! I started eating them when I was a child and decided I didnt like vegetables. My poor Mum tried everything to disguise vegetables in my dinner, putting a jacket potato in a blender with vegetables and nothing seemed to work. Eventually she bought a packet of these and god knows how she got me to try them (she must have lied about their name) but I loved them and it worked. They were vegetables in a form that even the childlike version of me could eat! Nowadays I actually like vegetables. I really enjoy them, and even more, I eat them out of choice. I still however eat and ... Read the complete review
