I'm not a big fan of chocolate. I know this is a shocking confession "My name is Lisa and I don't like chocolate" but thats not to say I don't like sweet things. Its the texture of chocolate that puts me off but I am rather partial to the odd biscuit. My favorite biscuits are Twix's so I was delighted when on a recent jolly around my local Tesco's I discovered that the 'bisc & ...' range of biscuity snacks have finally reached our shores. 'bisc & ...' have been around in France and Spain for a few years now and i've often wondered why you couldn't get them over here (well, not exactly often wondered, that ... Read the complete review

These had the word "new" all over them so I just had to try! History ******* Introducing Mr Forrest Mars, son of Frank (how could you do this to your son), anyway Forrest visited Spain and saw a soldier eating some chocolate covered in a shell to protect them from melting and thought wow (just guessing here), if we coat our chocolate and call them M&Ms we are on to a winner. How right he was. First sold in 1941 and a huge hit with the American soldiers in WW11 these and and all the other stuff made by Mars turn over a massive $14 billion a year, not bad. Anyway, all this and a more about the history of M&Ms can be found at the ... Read the complete review

Recently on the market, there have been a variety of new chocolate bars introduced into the UK called 'Bisc &...'; these consist of a layer of biscuit base covered in chocolate and a variety of fillings, including Bounty, Twix, Mars, etc. One of these that I have tried several times, and liked the best, is the Bisc and M & M's. What it looks like: The wrapper for this chocolate bar is a pale brown/yellow colour, with 'Bisc & ...' printed on there, with the appropriate logo for each covering; for M&M's, it is the white letters in a brown semi-circle. It tells you on the wrapper that there are two biscuits inside, and also a ... Read the complete review

On the packaging these are described as a "unique experience" and for me that says it all Bisc & M&M are made by Masterfoods UK in Slough. They are packed in 6's and are individually foil wrapped within the main packaging, which keeps them fresh and stop the biscuit going stale but I have to say they wont last long enough for this to happen. They retail for 89p per pack in my supermarket and the other week they were on 3 for the price of 2 which was great, so I've stocked up. They are approximately 4 x 1.5 inches in size. The base is biscuit (hence the Bisc bit obviously) it is then topped with chocolate and then set in the ... Read the complete review
