I have to confess I'm absolutely rubbish at making gravy and if it were not for Bisto those occasions when I do make a Sunday roast would be rather dry affairs to say the least, that or inedible if I tried to make gravy any other way. Bisto gravy granuales are ideal for making gravy either to accompany lamb, pork or beef. They also do a variety to make chicken gravy. To make the gravy simply spoon in a couple of measures of the granules into a jug and add boiling water stirring as you add the water, if you want to thicken it up then add more granules depending upon your own personl taste although I find that it is best to start with a little and build it up ... I no whizzz in the kitchen, but I do enjoy enjoying a proper roast dinner on a Sunday on fairly regular basis. But I still like to cut corners where ever I can; cue frozen roast potatoes, frozen veg, and Bisto Gravy granules. Bisto Gravy granules are simplicy in a tub. To make 1/2 a pint of gravy you just need to add 4 5ml teaspoons of granules to half a pint of boiling water. Give it a good stir, and then it's ready to serve. The granules dissolve well resulting in a quality smooth gravy. Bisto have years of experience in the gravy business, and it shows as this is a tasty, meaty, gravy. There is no powderiness to the finished gravy, nor is there a ... Read the complete review

Bisto gravy granuals have been around for quite a while now and as most other companies do they have diversified into producing not one flavour but several to name but a few there are original meaty, chicken, turkey, onion, cheese, and one or two that escape my memory for now. They are all equally easy to prepare by tipping a little of the granuals into a jug follow directions on pack. But for desired thickness experiment a little. and simply add boiling water and stir vigerously. for lump free meaty tasty gravy, Oh and I remember seeing a vegetable variety I think for those vegetarians out there. This is a follow on from the original bisto mix and despite it being ... Read the complete review

ahh bisto... how right it is! Trying out different variations from one supermarket to the next, not once I have come accross anything as rich, and beef tasting as this gravy (Many more flavours are available in the bisto range:chicken, turkey, lamb and other meats). Coming in an easy-to-open container, the gravy comes initially as small granuals, which are mixed instantly with boiled water ready to pour over all your favourite meals, all in only a matter of minutes. More granuals added to the mixture results in a much thicker substance, personally how i like it best; it can also be mixed much thinner. When not mixed very well, you can ... I love a nice roast dinner, but somehow a roast just wouldn't be the same without the gravy. So I thought I'd review one of the most famous gravy brands of all: Bisto. BACKGROUND One of the things which has always intrigued me is how the Bisto name come about in the first place. So I set about doing some research and this is I found. Bisto was originally invented in 1908 by Messrs Roberts & Patterson. It was a meat flavoured gravy powder and was named "Bisto" because it "Browns, Seasons and Thickens in One"! Over the years, the Bisto brand became ever more dominant, and in 2005 it was estimated that Bisto had a market share ... Read the complete review
