For me a roast dinner isn't complete without gravy on it, and I mean alot of gravy at that! I adore the stuff and in my home my Mother makes the dinners and wouldn't use anything but this and meat juices to make ours..thank goodness! The Packaging.... Bisto Gravy Granules are an ideal way of making smooth textured gravy without horrid lumps. It's so easy to mix as it can be added to the juices from a roast or simply added to a stew, casserole or stirfry. It is so much easier than having to use cornflour to thicken the gravy as you can determine the thickness needed by simply adding more ... Read the complete review

With the current credit crunch amongst us I am trying to find ways to save pennies wherever I can and I have cut back on a lot of expensive food stuff and changed to shops own brands but there are a few things I will not do on the cheep, one of those things is my gravy. The only gravy I will buy is bisto, in my opinion it is the best ... Read the complete review

Bisto Gravy Grannules.... Bisto Is a well known brand name and has been around now for many years and is a firm favourite of the nation. I have tried other store own brand gravy granules but I have always returned to Bisto because for the few added pence extra the better quality and taste is always worth it. The Bisto Gravy ... I understand you are inteding to remove the 'Bisto' name from the product and you are going yo call it - Aah Sunday, Monday etc. Is this true - if so all I can say is what a stupid waste of money - to re-brand - resell an icon of the British food industry. Like Weetabix and Mamite - Bisto is an icon. Why do stupid marketing people get it in ... Read the complete review

There are lots of flavours to compliment the meat you are cooking - chicken, beef etc - I must admit I tend to just buy the basic gravy granules for meat - as pictured here. Currently costing £1.60 for 300g this is not the cheapest around but not as exensive as the bisto best range which costs £1.42 for 200g. To make the ... Read the complete review

Before I started living with my (now) husband, if he had told me he used gravy granules, I possibly wouldn't have made it to the first date!! Personally, i am a fan of the Roux and stock method, but he has demonstrated how much quicker and easier (and less washing up) is involved with the gravy granules route! I like a lot of ... I know, I know, I suppose many of you will think that this is cheating, and if you base it on how many different ways there are to make gravy, then using pre-prepared 'just add water' gravy granules is cutting corners and time, whether it's Bisto or some cheapo budget gravy granules. However, Bisto's gravy granules are heavenly, and you ... Read the complete review

Aah, Bisto. It is surely one of the most iconic British brands and has been around for as long as I can remember. Its adverts have always tried to evoke a sense of family mealtimes and warm, filling dinners. Its promotional material has even extended to cuddly toys in the shape of the Bisto children! But Bisto is not one of those companies that ... Read the complete review

I know Bisto has been around for donkeys years and just thinking about it brings back happy memories of time spent with family, but I had never actually used it myself until last week. I have always bought another brand (sounds like boxo) in the stock cube form. They were alright, they must have been as I have been using them for over nine years ... Read the complete review

Aah Bisto! This always brings back memories of childhood for me and of delicious roast dinners. My review is of the 170g chicken servings which will last for quite a few roast dinners. Bisto is a way of life. Okay okay, it's a way of life for morons like me who have no idea how to make real, homemade gravy. I tried several times to make my own homemade gravy with traditional gravy salts, and several times it was too salty, too tasteless, or too ....lumpy. Bisto solves all of these things. It ... It is incredible to think that 57% of British households have Bisto gravy granules in their kitchen cupboards. As the advert used to tell you `Bisto browns, seasons and thickens all in one` RHM a subsidiary of Premier Foods is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of Bisto. Bisto powder was introduced in 1908, ... Read the complete review

I have gone off Bisto gravy Granules recently due to their continued use of Hydrogenated Veg oils. As most other manufacturers are removing these from food I cannot see why Bisto continue to use them in their "normal "range. AAhh..Bisto gravy granules have been around for years. Until 1979 Bisto had the only gravy granules on the shelf. They have some great adverts that I still remember watching as a child. I am not too bad in the kitchen when it comes to cooking and I can make nice gravy in a few ways but I tend for quickness and guaranteed results to more often than not use Bisto gravy granules.
