Black Magic Chocolate

For years Black Magic has been my favourite box of chocolates and believe me I've tried other makes but always loved Black Magic the best, Birthdays,Christmas,just to cheer me up, my husband always treated me to a box and I so loved opening it and deciding which to eat first, I love all the flavours but do have a weakness for the coffee one. What have you done to those wonderful Black Magic chocolates ???? I was so impressed with the packaging , but absolutely horrified when I opened the box . Where are all the wonderful combinations of flavours ? No creams , no toffees , no nougat , no coffee creams . We have all as a family given up chocolates for various reasons , but allowed ourselves dark chocolate for christmas , the obvious choice being Black Magic , if its christmas it must be Black Magic , we are all very , very dissapointed , in fact if you dont change back to our favorites we will never buy them again .Extended family is included in this threat . Having ready the reviews so far, I have to agree with all of you. I was delighted to receive two boxes of Black Magic this year for Christmas - yummy I thought. But then I opened the box and saw the boring square shapes, then tasted them to discover that they tasted different - new flavours but not the ones I used to like - no strawberry cream, coffee cream...DISASTER! I actually used to like all of the old flavours which is not typical for me with boxes of chocs. These new flavours do all taste pretty much the same, bland, dominated by the amaretto flavour in the box. The only one chocolate now with a more prominent taste is the orange one. Our son gave us a box of Black magic Chocolates for Christmas. We have always said that you can't go wrong with them but apparently you can now. It was such a disappointment as they are so boring compared with the old ones and the silly geometric designs which I am not good at interpreting have meant that I have yet to choose the flavour right. I have no desire to have any more of these and shall inform family and friends accordingly. They have had a tried, tested and much loved formula hardly changed in years which provided a variety of dark chocolates unrivaled by others so why change it so radically. New Black Magic Chocolates - rubbish, rubbish, rubbish! I hope the powers to be at Nestle soon realise the error of their ways and give us back our old beloved British ones with real dark chocolate and different, really tasty, individually shaped chocolates. Why should anyone think that in a the world's most chocoholic nation changing a perennial favourite would work? The chocolate is neither milk nor dark, the word creamy being a giveaway. They all taste the same and sickly.
