The Blue Dragon range is being given a go in our house these days as I'm on the look out for reviewable items and this passes for the type of item I'm looking for. When residing in the UK, I'd probably give this a different rating due to the fact that there's a plethora of sauces to choose from and the competition is quite good. You only really come to appreciate this product when the other Chinese sauces on offer are sweet and bland. I like cooking and I like making up my own sauces but lately I haven't had time, this sachet of chow mein sauce has come in handy, immediately livening up chicken and rice dishes, I just toss it in a frying pan with the chicken ... I am a terrible cook to be totally honest with you! However that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate nice food cos I do! It's just if I'm cooking it's only for me so I tend to eat toast or something quick like that and if I want something more adventurous I will simply buy some sort of ready meal! However the other day I was in my local Sainsbury's store and I spotted these little pouches of Blue dragon cook in sauce that looked ideal for a meal for one person and when I read the back of the pouches details it sounded really simple to do! I love the idea of eating home made stir frys but usually all mine end up tasting the same. Honestly, no matter what i have thrown in it somehow gets this taste that is lacking in flavour and aroma, bland would be a way to descibe it. That was until blue dragon came and rescued me! I love chow mein. It is my favourite chinese dish. I actually think i am obsessed with noodles. What's great is that if you use a little oil it can be a really healthy and nutritious meal.
