Advantages: children like it

Disadvantages: salty

Bob the builder pasta shapes. I was giving Adrian aged 3 next week his tea the other day Usually he eats the same as the family and his mum prefers fresh food, but he was been fussy so we resorted to giving him a food he loves, Bob the builder pasta.

Bob the builder pasta is made by HP it comes in a 220g tin. Bob the builder pasta is also available in a 410g can.
The tin is easily recognised as it has bob standing against a blue background. This tin is just the right size for a small Childs meal.

This pasta does contain wheat and gluten so beware if your child is allergic to these.

I just read a report on the internet about the amount of salt in this pasta apparently it is over the daily limit for children under three and close to the daily limit for 4 to 6 year olds. 2.75g per 213 can which is a serving. So Bob the builder pasta will be a rare treat and only given as a small serving.
This pasta has added vitamins and minerals.

However Adrian enjoyed his meal. We served the pasta shapes with a baked potato. These pasta shapes are good if you serve then on toast too. They can be served as parts of a meal with eggs, sausage, or with mash potato, just remember not to add any extra salt.

This pasta is really quite cute though as the pasta is made into bob the builder shapes, Dizzy, Roley, Bob, Pilchard, Wendy, Muck and Scoop. When Adrian ate his he recognised the character shapes.

This pasta is easily and quickly cooked either in microwave or on the hob.
I shall keep a can in my store cupboard for an emergency meal, it is quick easy and I know Adrian will like it.
News update Adrian now has baby sister Cassie born 7.2.06

Summary: pastra shaped like bob the builder characters.

My children never liked the consistency of tinned pasta on the odd occasion I tried it. The salt level is horrendous as it is aimed at children.
Congratulations on the new grandchild!
