I enjoy eating sweets at a lot of different times. After meals to get my sweet fix, to help stave off pangs of hunger, days ending in 'y'... you get the idea. There are a couple of different chocolate bars that are aimed at stopping hunger, like Mars or Snickers. I like both of these, but for me, the number one hunger stopping chocolate bar is the Cadbury's Boost bar. Even before you open a Boost you can feel it is a weighty chocolate bar that means business. Once you do open it you discover it's a combination of chewy caramel, biscuit pieces and soft chocolatey-ness smothered in Cadbury's milk chocolate. Its caramel is quite chewy so if ... Cadbury's launched the Boost in the early 80s, originally in three varieties, biscuit, rasin and peanut (the latter being rather like a Star Bar). You may remember the original advert quoted above. Maybe, you remember the Reeves & Mortimer ad (the Lone Ranger) with the tag line "It's slightly rippled with a flat underside". A masterpiece of consumer indoctrination.
