Advantages: tasty and healthyish

Disadvantages: not for anyone who doesn't like coconut

Suffice to say that there are few snacks on the market that use coconut. This is probably because they're so hard to get into and therefore not particularly cost effective given the amount of flesh available per nut.

Still, the good people at Mars recognize that there is a good number of coconut loving snackers out there, and with this in mind have been faithfully producing Bounty bars for years.

Plenty of moist coconut with just enough chocolate to cover it, this is very tasty and somewhat healthy snack (at least compared to other chocolate bars).

For some reasons, Bounty bars have always been sold in 2 mini bars per unit. I assume this is something to do with structural integrity, but whatever the reason, this makes Bounty a great bar for sharing.

The numbers...

57g per unit (2 bars)
each mini bar will provide:
134 kcal
1.1g protein
18.2 g carbohydrates
6.8 g fat

The bar i bought for lunch today cost me 42p but i'm sure this will vary.

For some reason, i'm ok with the cost provided it's under 50p. No idea why. Either way, i'm happy cause i've got my bounty.

Summary: a taste of summer
