Advantages: Cheap, great tasting and great for dunking.

Bourbons can best be described as chocolate biscuits without any chocolate, they are chocolate tasting biscuits with a chocolate tasting cream centre, rectangular in shape and for some reason they are simply irresistible.

There are dozens of companies producing some version or another of the famous bourbon biscuit but for me at the moment Asda are making the best job of it, not the smart price ones though as they are not good at all.

Bourbon biscuits are great on their own but they are also great for dunking, I love to dunk them in a steaming hot cup of tea but I really enjoy them most when dunked in a hot chocolate drink.

The cream centre of the Bourbon becomes slightly melted and the biscuit goes soft and melt in the mouthish, just adorable.

Asda do massive 28 packs of bourbons for only 56p so they are also a very affordable treat and although as I mentioned they actually do not have any real chocolate in them or on them they are a very chocolaty tasting biscuit loved by kids and adults alike.

Summary: A must for every biccie tin!
