Advantages: Good price, taste great.

Disadvantages: Moreish

I think Bourbon biscuits are the most popular biscuits around. Everyone has had them at some point in their lives. I cannot remember a time i didnt buy these. Even as i write this review i am eating one.

So what are bourbons ?

Bourbon's are basically a chocolate biscuit. Two thin rectangular layers of biscuit with chocolate cream filling in the middle, together this makes such a lovely, crunchy, tasty biscuit. I don't find these biscuits to sweet, and they have a lovely texture. Every brand of these Bourbons are lovely but I particularly like and get my Bourbon's from Tesco.
Packaging

The Tesco bourbons come in a brown packaging with the Tesco logo written in white at the top. Inside are your bourbons, not sure how many are in but i would guess around 12. The biscuits themselves look quite cute. Rectangular brown, with ''Bourbon' engraved on them, with little holes around the outside.

The taste

The biscuits are not too sweet, quite light and creamy. The combination of the chocolatey centre and the buscuits creates a lovely texture. I don't find themcrumbly like some biscuits can be. They are great for eating alone and can also make a great 'dunking' biscuit. Couple years back i would often dip the Bourbon's into my coffee, and it's taste great and wont crumble into your drink. The biscuits can get very moreish i tell you, before you know it you have had the whole packet as they are a very light biscuit in my opinion. Yet not the healthiest, but great for one off treats.

The Allgery Advice

Would i recommend these to you ?

Yes !!!!! These biscuits cost around 40p from Tesco if that. They are very cheap, the same quality as other brands, so don't go spending too much thinking you'll get better quality, they are just the same. They are a lovely tasting biscuit and great for dipping in your coffee/tea every now and again. So go and try out these bourbon's you won't regret it.

Summary: A great biscuits for every now and again treats.

Good review. I adore Bourbon biscuits and most notably they were out of very few the only European biscuits I can identify with as a child on holiday in India (90s).
