Advantages: Tasty, Addicting, Sweet, Chocolate, Texture, Cheap

Disadvantages: Calories

Buorbon biscuits are one of the most delicious biscuits you can buy as they are really addicting and have a fantastic taste as well as varying textures of hard biscuit and soft cream, but they all have a chocolate taste to them, which makes them so great. The two most common, which I tend to buy are the Tesco normal bourbon biscuits, which cost 40p for 200g worth and the Tesco Value ones, which cost 46p for 400g. Personally, I cannot tell the difference so I'd recommend the Tesco Value ones as you get twice as much for only 6p more!

Unfortunately, my dog likes these too and it's obviously bad for them as it's chocolate and also contains cream so we limit him to one every now and then, but he's built up a tolerance to chocolate so it's not so bad. The biscuits contain a soft chocolate cream in the middle. The outer pieces usually have some sort of pattern on them and say 'buorbon'. They aren't overly crunchy, but when you bite into them, the texture is both hard and soft, which blends together to produce a lovely sensation within your mouth.

They have an intense chocolate flavour as both the biscuits and cream inside are made of chocolate. I usually eat them whole, and I can get carried away, eating a biscuit in just one bite and then helping myself to a few more. It's sometimes fun to take off the biscuit on top and scrape away the cream inside with your teeth before layering the biscuit back on top and eating the rest. They are like chocolate sandwiches and just have an amazing taste. They are sometimes sprinkled with sugar too, but they will contain sugar in the cream and biscuit, which is why they aren't excellent for your health. They can be quiet filling and I think two are substantial to go with an afternoon tea.

Thanks for reading,

Dan ©

Summary: Really tasty biscuits with a lovely texture and a sweet chocolate flavour
