Advantages: can be added to any meal yet ate on its own

Disadvantages: not a pull top to open the can

Mention the name Branston and most people will think of their pickles but Branston also does baked beans.

Branston backed beans comes in 420g tins which you do need a can opener to open them and not the pull back lids.

The ingredients

Beans 52% tomatoes 36% water, sugar, modified maize, starch, salt, paprika, ground white pepper and flavouring spices.

To Cook

You can cook them on a hob by emptying contents into a saucepan and heat gently while stirring but do not boil

Or you can put them in the microwave to do them by emptying contents onto a suitable non metalic plate, cover and prick a few holes. Cook on full power for one and a half minutes, stir and then do it for the other one and a half minutes.

If you do it the microwave way please go careful as they are not only hot to get out of the microwave but they do stay piping hot for a long time and I think too hot for adults let alone children.

I think Branston varies from other baked beans by literally having more baked beans in their tin - it seems like it to me anyway and although they do have sauce it is not like some all sauce and no baked beans.

Although I must admit it is good to have plenty of sauce to wipe around with your bread.

The food itself is very tasty and you can really taste the tomato sauce. It is also a good rich colour.

Of course baked beans can be served on their own or in many ways.

Some of these are on toast by themselves, or as part of a fry up with sausages and eggs and bacon. Or with mashed potatoes or even chips. I think there must be so many things that you can add baked beans to and therefore it is a must for your food cupboard.

Baked beans is not just for children as many of the adverts just show children eating baked beans but for everyone.

I would definately recommend Branston baked beans to anyone.

Thank you for reading x

Summary: Juicy, tasty and have any time
