Bloomin big disappointment!

These beans in tomato sauce are marketed on the basis of their size, so they'd seem to be a good choice for a filling, quick snack. They aren't huge but are bigger than the usual Heinz variety (and there's a helpful picture on the tin comparing beans just in case you doubt it!)

They look as they should, fat little orange ovals, the sauce is sweet and thick, however, they have quite an unpleasant texture, I heated them as directed and they were still crunchy and had a horrible fibrey texture. I know that beans are full of fibre but these really were awful, very gritty.

Available in tins of 420g or 220g, the larger tin retails at around 46p in Tesco. Contains sugar, the small tin has around 171 calories per tin. The can is recyclable.

One to avoid I'm afraid, I'll be sticking with Heinz!

Summary: Hello Heinz!
