Advantages: Great tasting and inexpensive.
Disadvantages: ?
Brown sauce on sausage and chips is one of my favourite things and up until recently the brown sauce in question would always have been Daddies but since the discovery of Branstons brown sauce this is no longer the case.
The Branston brown sauce firstly was less expensive at only £1.19 for a 470g bottle as opposed to the £1.34 for the same size Daddies (in Asda). Secondly this sauce has a really delicious tang to it that stands it out over any other brown sauce I have tried.
To explain the tang to you would be impossible so I simply suggest if you like brown sauce then you give this one a try.
It comes in a squeezy bottle so it is easy to get the right amount on your meal and there is little or no waste at the end of the bottle, the lid shuts tight and there is a plastic stopper type nipple on the inner of the lid that closes the hole and keeps the sauce fresh.
This is a really tangy brown sauce that offers delicious taste with no horrid aftertaste like the cheap sauces have and it is a very reasonably priced product too, it is now my first choice of brown sauce and it will likely be yours too after you try it.

- 15/08/09 I have a half full bottle of Daddy's left, so will have to wait to taste the delights of Branston's brown. Thanks for highlighting it. |
