Branston Tomato KetchupNewest Review: ... without sending it all over their plates and wasting it. It's got a lovely rich flavour, I love how tomatoey the ketchup is and also the nice vinegar tang to it. I think the taste of it is at least as good as Heinz and I reckon it actually goes better with some food than the Heinz because this one isn't so sweet. It's got a very thick texture and that makes it wicked for a bacon or sausage ... more More Branston in Food

We usually buy Heinz ketchup but a few weeks ago I brought a bottle of this Branston version because it was on special offer in Morrisons for 69p. The sauce comes in a plastic squeezy bottle and that's always easier for us because it means my younger sisters can use the ketchup without sending it all over their plates and wasting it. Generally im of the opinion that the well known brand names you associate with a product is going to be the best. Take Ketchup for example, you think of Ketchup and automatically think of Heinz. A classic condiment that is always delicious on chips, burgers and everything else you have ketchup with. You reach into your cupboard and get your bottle out, add with your meal, enjoy and not really think much more about it. Heinz = Ketchup, right? Well, not anymore, certainly not the the Rooster household, in a bid to shave a few pounds off our grocery shopping we decided to give another brand a try, and because it was on offer we plumped for ... After being accused over the last couple of weeks of having ketchup with everything, I thought this brand of the red stuff deserved a quick review as it is currently has pride of place in my fridge. It is presented in what nowadays seems to be the typical ketchup bottles, in a plastic container with a reseal able white lid. I believe these new designs of bottles have meant to be easy to extract the sauce. This have to say is successful in the fact that unlike the traditional glass containers you do not risk emptying have the bottles contents onto your food to make it into an undesirable tangy tomato soup. However, I find once you get to the end of the bottle ... Read the complete review

My mum introduced my twin toddlers to sauces the other day with their chips, now they seem to want sauce with every meal they have. Although I did quite like the Sainsburys basics tomato ketchup I seem to want that little bit better for my sons. While in Iceland the other day they had a large basket full of Branston sauces for just £1 a bottle. The bottle is quite a large 720g see through plastic upside down bottle. The screw off and flip up plastic cap is at the bottom of the bottle allowing for easy squeezing and pouring of the sauce. The see through bottle enables you to keep an eye on the amount of sauce used and left too! The front of the ... Read the complete review

Now I love ketchup on pretty much anything, it's so gorgeous and yummy, even though I don't like tomatoes on their own I can eat them in a sauce, weird eh?! We usually have Heinz Tomato Ketchup at our house but apparently this Branston was on offer at half price for 67p so that swung the deal, lol. Made by Cross & Blackwell this sauce is advertised as 'The thick, rich taste...' on the front of the upside down squeezy plastic bottle. Weighing 460g and prepared with 153g of tomatoes per 100g it loos really red and delicious :) This product contains no artificial colours, preservatives or flavours which is great plus it's low in ...
