suehome Quaker Oatso Simple
... a sudden chill in the air and the hint of winter to come, I was searching in the cupboard for a sustaining but simple breakfast when I happened upon a box of Oat So Simple, Original. The box has the familiar and reassuring Quaker symbol at the top, together with a picture of a field of lovely golden oats. So far so good, and the box contains 12 times 27g sachets, each of which cook in just two and a half minutes. The box looks small because the cereal is heavy. However, you are only meant to have a small portion. It is made up of clusters of oats and raisins but the big raisins that are proudly announced on the packaging are fairly sparsely distributed. I found three in one bowlful. The clusters are small, or large depending on how hard you shake the box to break them up and some of them are so big and hard that they could quite easily break your teeth. Adding milk and heating t...
