Advantages: Yummy, big, low in salt

Disadvantages: Not waistline friendly!

There are some foods which just never seem as BIG as they did when you were small. According to wikipedia this is illusion alone and simply an effect of my hands getting bigger. I'm still not sure I believe them.

Wagon Whells are made from two biscuits sandwiching a layer of marshmallow and covered in chocolate. The chocolate layer is VERY thin, and usually I can't tell the taste of it from the taste of the biscuit. I don't mind this however, as the biscuit tastes rather yummy. It's soft rather than crunchy and a little spongy.

The layer of marshmallow isn't what you would expect from flumps or anything like that. It's about 2mm thick, flat and white and sweet without the fluffiness usually associated with marshmallows.

Taken apart like that it doesn't sound so good, but believe me, put together all these elements combine to make it delicious.

You don't have to worry about salt with these - there's less than 0.1 per Wheel. With 161 calories ber biscuit, 16.4g of sugar and 5.4g of fat though, they're probably not waistline friendly.

At 86p for a packet of six you're getting a lot of biscuit for your money. Personally, I would ignore the calorie count and enjoy.

Summary: Big and round and delicious

I remember these from when I was a kid - didn't realise they were still around! Perhaps I should introduce my sons to them...
