Advantages: Flavoursome, Delicious, Sweet, Nice Texture

Disadvantages: Sticky + Messy, High In Sugar

This review is going to make me very hungry just thinking about the product, but here goes... Butterkist popcorn is just absolutely delicious really. It has a very sweet taste as it's toffee flavour with cream and it's extremely addicting too. You can get a 200g packet for £1.39, which isn't bad as it's a very substantial snack and goes excellently with a movie or something.

It comes in a foil packet, which is pretty much bright red. The large butterkist logo is towards the top in bold white writing with a blue surrounding. Below is the large 'Toffee popcorn' logo, so you can't miss it really and it only comes in this flavour. It is usually alongside the crisps in supermarkets. At the bottom is an image of the popcorn inside.

As you open the packet with ease, you are faced with this mouthwatering aroma of the toffee popcorn. It has quite an intense smell along with the taste. The popcorn is pretty much golden in colour and has a very sticky texture although it looks like normal popcorn.

When you pop (excuse the pun) one in your mouth, you can immediately sense the sweetness of the popcorn. It's really sweet and they seem to have a slightly more 'crisp' texture than salted popcorn for example, probably due to the toffee coating. They smell delicious too and I cannot hold back to eating the whole packet at once as they are truly addicting! They are excellent for movies and even better as just a snack.

You can buy them from places such as Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys as well as many other smaller supermarkets. They do have 50g of sugar per 100g and 8g of fat - 3.7g of which is saturated. The sugar amount is very high due to the toffee so this definitely shouldn't be a regular snack and make sure you brush your teeth well after! However, they are really delicious and are well-worth buying. They are quite sticky so a bit messy though.

Thanks for reading,

Dan ©

Summary: A delicious popcorn with a fantastic flavour
