... smoothness of the chocolate paired with the slightly gritty consistency of the apple pieces makes it a very interesting bar to eat. If you pop a segment in your mouth and allow the chocolate to melt you'll be left with several small but flavoursome pieces of fruit which are lovely when chomped together and put me in mind of candied peel in a way. There is a problem though and that is that this is an extremely sickly bar of chocolate. It's much, much sweeter than other bars of this type and the greasiness I mentione...more

Premium Review Cadbury Bournville Orange: Beautiful Bournville! (661 words)

After reading a review on here I decided I just had to try the new Cadbury's Bournville Orange; I love Bournville chocolate and also adore any type of orange chocolate so naturally I couldn't wait to find a bar to sample. I found it in Sainsbury's eventually a few days ago and bought a large 180g bar to share with a friend who was visiting, if I remember correctly it cost £1.59 although I was so excited at having found it in the first place that I took very little notice of the price! The chocolate bar smells wonderful as I opened the wrapper; the orange aroma mixes beautifully with the dark Bournville chocolate and made my mouth water in expectation of the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Get Stuck In! (583 words)

As a chocoholic I'll try just about any confectionary on the market. I have tried many chocolates that contain pieces of fruit and/or nuts: the Seeds of Change range and Green and Blacks, for instance. I have always thought of these types of chocolate as a luxury and as a specialist recipe. Cadbury's Bournville Orange is definately a rival to these luxury brands with this dark chocolate and orange pieces bar. The product comes in 180 gram sized bars which are big enough to share if desired. It is wrapped in bright orange packaging. The back of the wrapper is printed with information including ingredients and nutritional values. The chocolate is suitable for ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cadbury Bournville Orange: Chocolate orange that isn't Terrys for once (333 words)

Orange and chocolate is a genius combination, for that reason I'm a huge of a certain famous chocolate orange but have become a bit miffed lately at the cost of them and that the bar versions aren't quite the same, it should be the same chocolate inside but the taste doesn't quite hit the spot. Imagine my utter delight when I spotted a new variety of Cadbury chocolate in my local Co-op recently, a bar of dark Bournville chocolate with orange. The fact it was a largeish size didn't put me off buying one, after all there was no way on Earth I wouldn't enjoy this. The chocolate is sold in bars of 180gm, the packaging is a bright orange in colour to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review One of the Best Orange Chocolates Out There (198 words)

When I was at the Co-Op recently, I bought a bar of this along with a bar of Bournville Old Jamaica on a 2-for-1 special deal. I don't normally buy chocolate that often, but I was interested to try these new flavours. Although I preferred the Old Jamaica, this variety also exceeded my expectations. Although I am not normally a fan of Cadbury's products, the Bournville range continues to provide pleasant surprises, and apart from a product made by Lindt this is the best orange chocolate I have tasted. Although the dark chocolate is not of the highest quality, it is far better than I would expect from Cadbury and is smooth and bitter. The sweet tang of ...  Read the complete review
