Advantages: Chocolate topping tastes nice

Disadvantages: biscuit is too crumbly, just isn't quite right

Aside from your Bourbons and Custard Creams I'm not that fussed about my biscuits. Sweet and crunchy is all that they need to be. I don't usually branch out into brand names but in this sense they were doing a deal where you received a free mug with a photo of your choice on it. Not going to miss a chance at that, who wouldn't want a cup with a picture of me on it? (Don't answer that!)

In a purple packet which is easy enough to open the digestives are exactly as you'd expect them to be. About 4cms in diameter, they are a light brown colour with the cadburys logo imprinted on the back.

With their recognisable sweet malty taste, the digestive is has the top coated with dairy milk chocolate which a lot of us have come to know and love. There is enough of this to make the combination of both biscuit and chocolate mix together without concealing the others flavour.

In this case if you are somebody who likes to dunk their biscuits I wouldn't bother doing that with these. The chocolate covering seems to melt a lot quicker than other digestives of the same sort. Leaving a slight cloudy film on top of your drink.

They are also a bit too crumbly for my liking. There's nothing wrong with biscuit which breaks away into smaller pieces when bitten into. Sometimes that can be the sign of a good one. It's just I prefer it when I don't end up loosing too much of it and have to eat it a lot more slowly to avoid it from happening.

Each biscuit contains:

80 calories
4.7g sugar
4.1g fat
2.2g saturates
0.24g salt

They do contain gluten, wheat, milk, soya and as it states on the packaging should be enjoyed as part of a healthy lifestyle. Any extra information is shown on the back of the packaging in a clear and informative way. Ingredients, other nutritional information, storage and contacting the manufacturers.

Overall I think that this is an average product. They are tastey but I feel as though Cadburys shoud stick to what they're good at. Making chocolate bars. The coating has a nice creamy and sweet flavour however it's the only thing which they have managed to get right. I think you'd probably be better off buying a different range where you can get more for a cheaper price. (ASDAs and Sainsburys own variety are nice)

I bought these for £1, usual price £1.56 for a 300g packet. If you do buy these then you're more or less paying for a brand name and not the actual biscuit.

I thought these would be lovely as I love Cadbury's but they were a bit of a let-down.

Thankyou for the dunking info.. if I'd bought these I would have been disappointed.
