Back when I was a little kid and my good for nothing dad drank all the family money away, my single experience with sweets came in the guise of a finger of fudge. It was promoted as 'just enough to give the kids a treat', but where I was from it basically meant 'the absolute bare minimum that tight ass parents can get away with spending on their kids'. Today, the chomp has that role. A chomp is basically a strip of toffee, coated in chocolate. It sells for a meager ten pence, and is about the length of a pencil, and less than an inch wide. Now, it tastes quite nice. The chocolate is sweet and creamy, always hard against the toffee which I like. The toffee ... Read the complete review

Cadbury Chomp has probably been familiar in the childhood of most people reading this review as it has been around for so long and is a real pocket money treat. The bar is wrapped in the familiar Cadburys packaging which is foil fresh and you just peel it open at one of the serrated ends. This is very simple and even little hands should have no problem with opening this. Once the wrapping is opened you can see and smell the delicious Cadburys chocolate which is covering the chewy caramel centre. This bar isn't called a 'Chomp' for nothing as it'll take a good few minutes of chewing before it's vanished and you'll find yourself salivating at the ... Read the complete review

Cabury's Chomp is one of the cheaper 'pocket money' type bars, I remember them being 10p when I used to buy them after school, but they're more like 15p-20p in sweet shops now! Up there with Freddo the Frog and Curly Wurlys these were a favourite. A friend recently bought me a selection pack which had a Chomp bar in it and, trying one again as an adult I wasn't so in love with it this time around. For a small bar it does last me quite a long time. This is due to the fact is sooo chewy! For toffee lovers it's a great treat but I think myself and my teeth are no longer fans of chewy toffee. The description of the bar on the wrapper is 'Milk Chcolate ... Read the complete review

After my recent re-acquaintance with the Cadbury Curly Wurly, I decided to take a nostalgic look back at another chocolate bar from my youth, and this time, it's the turn of the 'Chomp' - a small milk chocolate bar with a caramel filling. Costing only 15p for the 25g bar, the Chomp comes wrapped in red packaging with yellow text. Prise-wise, the Chomp has pretty much stayed the same over the years, although I do have vague memories of it being 10p at some time in the distant past. There aren't many chocolate bars which you can buy for such a small total - apart from our favourite snack-amphibian 'Freddo Frog' of course. Taste & Appearance - ... Read the complete review

Gone are the days where I could nip down to my newsagents and buy a Chomp for 10p . One of the reasons being that they don't sell them anymore and two they've gone up in price-by a staggering 5p! Whilst looking at my bar it's just screaming to be eaten however I have already eaten one and I'll shortly be having my dinner so I'm going to restrain myself for a bit longer. I have also noticed that they have somehow shrunk. Now I was watching some programme a while back when they were talking about this particular topic, one of the companies actually said that it was because they were thinking of the consumer and didn't want them to become overweight by ...
