Advantages: Ice cream, chocolate & popping candy together
Disadvantages: No honeycomb pieces
I love that Friday feeling and always have, Crunchie's have been a long lasting love, I love the honeycomb, the chocolate.
Whilst recently in Sainsbury's on my lunch break, I noticed in the ice cream section a box that looked awfully like the Crunchie ice creams I used to live on. However on closer inspection I found it was in fact a different kind of Cabury Crunchie ice cream. It was the Crunchie Blast.
I must admit I didn't even look at what it was, I picked up the box and put it in the basket. They cost £2.35 in Sainsbury's and can be found in most frozen ice cream sections of supermarkets for around a similar price. When I got home I discovered that the box contained 3 ice cream lollies, shaped like magnums.
The packaging is a plastic wrapper on each individual lolly/ice cream and is Cadbury recognisable with its Cadbury purple and logo. The wrapper is orange with a picture of the product on the front, with Cadbury Crunchie Blast written on the front too. The ends are purple, as well as the back.
On the back you can find all the nutritional information, quantities and the bar code and the weight which is 100 ml per ice cream.

The Ice cream is a orange coloured, honeycombed flavour ice cream covered with a layer of chocolate that has popping candy in it. This is quite nice and probably quite appealing to children.
The chocolate coating is reasonably thick, and I think the best bit, it is enough to give you a chocolate fix but also to compliment the ice cream.
I do love honeycomb but I would personally say I don't think the ice cream tastes exactly like ice cream, it has got a distinctive taste although I can't put it in to words (best go try it for yourselves), but it is a nice flavour. If you are an ice cream, chocolate, sweet addict I don't think you will dislike it.
The best thing about this ice cream is you can't get too messy! Well you can a bit, but with the chocolate covering the ice cream, you don't have to eat it immediately and it won't melt all over you.
The only downfall with this ice cream for me is - where have the honeycomb balls gone from the crunchie ice cream bars they used to make?
If you have never had one then you don't know what you're missing and will be perfectly satisfied with this ice cream as an ice cream representation of a crunchie.
But for those of you like me have had the old style crunchie ice cream bar - WHERE IS THE HONEYCOMB? BRING IT BACK!
I would recommend these to all!
Summary: A nice treat!
