Advantages: A bit different to other bars

Disadvantages: Calories and tooth rot

Crunchie is a super bar and one of those chocolate bars that I have grown to appreciate over time. It is a long rectangular shape and retails for around the 50 pence mark. As with all my chocolate I like to eat it after it has been in the freezer but this does mean it will crack up when you bite into it.

This is because on the inside it is a honeycomb centre which is held together by some syrupy sugar and is wrapped up by a rather thin layer of milk chocolate. This is probably in taste terms the sweetest of all the chocolate bars that I eat and I do have to be in the right mood for it to really enjoy it.

Te honeycomb centre is a golden yellow colour and as the name suggests is very crunchy, it will also get stuck in your teeth as well when you munch on one. It has a syrupy taste to it and like I said before is very sweet, the chocolate is rather thin and while you ca detect it the taste is rather swamped by the honeycomb. The honeycomb gives it a rough texture on your tongue and you can feel it melting in the moisture on your tongue if you hold it against the expose honeycomb centre.

Summary: Honeycomb centre
