Advantages: Delicious taste, reasonable price, good packaging, nice frozen or just chilled.
Disadvantages: None.
The Curly Wurly is something that gives me fond memories of my childhood with it's bright, colourful packaging it is eye catching straight away so when I spotted a multipack of 5 for £1.00 in Tesco (usual price) I decided to throw a packet in the basket to treat my fiancé and I.
The Curly Wurly comes packaged in a standard foil type wrapping which is easy to open and is long and thin, like the Curly Wurly itself.
As I have popped mine in the fridge for a couple of hours before eating it is cold and fairly easy to break off in to pieces. It is a crazy shape with lots of spaces which makes it ideal for getting your teeth in to. There is a long line (26g total weight) of caramel which has gone quite hard in the fridge and this is covered in a fairly thin layer of Cadburys chocolate. When I bite in to a Curly Wurly the caramel is delicious chewy and mouth watering, the chocolate is the usual delicious Cadburys chocolate except it always ends up breaking off this bar and going all over the place.
This bar really does bring back fond memories of my childhood when I used to get a small amount of pocket money each day, as did my friend, we would often go to our local corner shop and buy one of these as it was something we could afford with our limited money and I never ever will tire of eating these!
There is 115 calories and 4.6g of fat per bar and if you freeze this it will take a fair few minutes to work your way through this so even if you are watching your waistline then you should be able to enjoy a nice treat now and again!
I am going to rate this 5/5 as it's a delicious chocolate treat that doesn't break the bank! Fantastic.
Summary: A fantastic caramel & chocolate treat.

- 27/07/09 Sadly my 1970's NHS dentistry has put paid to me eating anything with caramel of this consistency ever again - I don't really fancy having the same fillings done repeatedly - LOL! |
