... cleanly, which makes these easier to eat than they otherwise might have been. As for the chocolate coating, I have mixed feelings. Dark chocolate contains 50% less sugar than milk chocolate, so the emphasis is really on health. However, there's a problem here. Because it's not so milky, creamy, or fatty, it has a slightly bitter taste to it. Now, that may not be such a bad thing, but it does add a slightly horrible edge to them. My point is, if you're so conscious about the health side, why eat chocolate covered bis...more

Premium Review Cadbury Dark Chocolate Fingers: Bitter sweet treat ain't so neat (365 words)

Cadburys are a clever company; they've established themselves as the leading brand of chocolate in the UK, and then they create dozens of products all based around that winning formula. Dark Chocolate Fingers are thin biscuits covered in chocolate. For around £1.50 a box you get approximately 30 fingers. First up, the biscuit itself is pretty basic - no overt flavour, very plain but very crunchy, which is the satisfying bit. It appeals to all of the senses as you basically munch and crunch your way through it. It's very brittle, so it snaps easily and cleanly, which makes these easier to eat than they otherwise might have been. As for the ...  Read the complete review

The original chocolate fingers were made by the Burton food group which was formed in 1939, in 1986 Burton merged with Cadbury's and these fingers are marketed under their name. I have eaten many chocolate fingers they are very popular at children's birthday parties. These chocolate fingers are about the diameter of an adult little finger and a little longer than the little finger, the description finger fits them well as they are a rounded biscuit similar to a finger size. (I am of course talking about the standard sized chocolate fingers I believe there is a larger variety available now.) When I was a child of course there was only the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cadbury Dark Chocolate Fingers: The dark variety (283 words)

In my review of double chocolate fingers, I did claim that the original were always best. I'm about to contradict myself here and say that Cadbury's dark chocolate fingers are definitely worth trying too. They're the one variation I give a thumbs up. Obviously, though, it depends largely on whether you like dark chocolate. If you do, great. If you don't - er, well, this isn't for you. At all. Dark Chocolate Fingers are simply that. The regular chocolate fingers covered in dark chocolate instead of regular milk chocolate. The picture above is a bit misleading because the packaging really isn't so retro. It's in the regular Cadbury finger box but with a tad ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dark chocolate is clearly immoral in this instance! (383 words)

Yum! Cadbury's Milk Chocolate Fingers! Yes please. (snatches at the packet) Errrr, I think this ones gone off! Dark Chocolate? On a finger? Are you sure? Let me see that packet!!! Yes this was something like my initial reaction. Have always loved Cadbury's Fingers. And have always had the milk chocolate ones, so I was quite surprised when I popped one of these in my mouth. The tag line on boxes of fingers is 'one may lead to another' however in this case it didn't. It lead to quickly looking for something else to take the taste away! I'm not a huge fan of dark chocolate, but on things like Hobnobs, Digestives and other biscuits I do ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cadbury Dark Chocolate Fingers: Better than the original (378 words)

Cadbury's dark chocolate fingers are long, thin biscuits covered in a thin layer of Cadbury's dark chocolate. They come in an oblong box and each one sits in a nice black, plastic tray within the box. Each box contains around 30 fingers. When you think about it the description of these doesn't make you jump for joy or anything. In fact they sound pretty average but when you bite into one you realise they are far from average. If you were my friend Lisa then you'd eat these with a brew and dip each one in and let the chocolate melt before sucking on it like lollipop! I actually think this is really disgusting and spoils them. I like to bite them pieces, not ...  Read the complete review
