Advantages: Taste, Nougat

I was in my local coop buying some stuff last night and when I got to the counter I saw an offer for 3 for 99p in the bargain basket and because of the great offer I decided to pick up a Double Decker bar along with a Boost and Creme Egg Twister. I had all of these three before but hadnt had a Boost or Double Decker for a while.

First introduced in 1976 Double Decker's are made by Cadbury's and consist of two layers, one consists of Chewy Nougatine and a crunchy cereal filling. These layers are covered with the Cadbury's Milk Chocolate and the bar is quite thick compared to other bars. So what are they like? well I have opened it and here we are.

Once you take a bite from the Double Decker you get the distinctive mix of Nougat and the crispy cereal filling. Plus the combination of Milk Chocolate this is very tasty and the Double Decker combination works really well. There is also a slight taste of coffee flavour but it is not the biggest thing you can taste from the Double Decker bar.

Like many other Cadbury's chocolate bars Double Deckers are typically priced around 50p. And you can of course get these from all the major supermarkets and from newsagents and you can also find the bars at snack machines.

Nutritional Info

A 60 gram Double Decker bar gives you 11.3 g of fat, 41 g of carbohydrates, 2.6 g of protein and 1155 kJ (275 kcal) of energy. This is normal for a bar of this sized.

Overall

This Double Decker bar is a great tasting chocolate bar so if you like Chocolate bars and havent tried this one then I suggest you pick one up next time you are in your local supermarket or newsagents. One of the nicest Nougat bars I have ever tried.
