Double Trouble with Double Decker (the trouble being you'll keep buying it) (Cadbury Double Decker)

I am currently 20 years old, I fiurst had a Double Decker when I was...20, yep, not until very very recently had I ever tried a double decker, having thought it had nuts in it, serves me right for not reading the actual ingredients I guess. Double Deckers are made by Cadbury's, a major chocolate manufacturer congolomerate along with Galaxy, Thorntons etc.

The chocolate bar is of a very odd texture and taste, is is a marshmallow covered crispy cereal bar with chocolate added all around it encasing the marshmallow, crisoy cereal mixture in it. The marshmallow adds the sticky soft texture before you crunch into the crispiness later on in which is a remarkable feeling.

The chocolate bar is of very high quality, it doesn't crumble thanks to the marshmallow, although it does melt a little in the hot weather, the bar is also actually very chunky, one bite will take a good amount of bar with it. as mentioned before, the taste is unique and like nothing i've ever had (although I prefer chocolate to chocolate bars and haven't had a huge variety of the bars themselves).

The wrapper isn't that apeealing to me, on the shelf amongst the newer stuff and Mars/Milky Ways and the like the packaging looks very old and mundane, I reckon it's about time they updated it to look much more appealing as this was one of the reasons I hadn't bought one will recently.

Of course however, chocolate bars do have calories in them, this is a big bar and would not be surprised if it has many more caloires than your usual bar, it can also melt badly in the hot heat and being such a chunky bar and the marshmallow/nougat means that it can get rather sickly towards the end.

So there we have it, the Cadburys Double Decker, I must say I am a much bigger fan of Thorntons and Galaxy as I see Cadburys are far too 'safe' and boring, although dairy milk straight from the fridge is one of lifes great pleasures...but, this double decker is a brilliant chocolate bar with the taste, texture and...um, chunkyness that will satisfy all senses and needs.
