Advantages: Tasty.

I am a huge fan of Cadburys chocolates. For me they are the leading confectionary brand. They seemed to create some magic with Cadburys dairy milk, and seem able to pass this across to lots of other products they create. They have been around over 100 years now and have many traditional products, and many recent products. generally I tend to prefer the traditional ones.

Cadburys double Decker is one of the products I enjoy the most from Cadbury's. They have been around sometime now, but never seem that popular compared to the cadbury's main range, and therefore they seem a little harder to get hold of. Cadburys Double Deckers come in bright packaging. The packaging is plastic and keeps the bar fresh. It is easy to tear off without destroying the chocolate bar. I am not however sure if the packaging is recyclable or not. If it was recyclable that would be a bonus in my opinion. The packaging is orange and purple and steals a lot of attention when you are looking over a vending machine of chocolate bars.

When you get the bar out of the wrapping you notice that it is thick and chunky. It is coated in delicious Cadburys dairy milk chocolate. As the name might suggest the bar consists of two layers. The bottom layer which accounts for one third of the bar is crispy rice (like rice crispies, but bigger) coated in chocolate. The top layer is thick chewy nougat.When you bite into it the nougat is soft and easier to get through and the chocolate crispies are crunchie. The two textures are completely opposite, but in some way they are stil complimentary. The same goes for taste. The nougat is so sweet that it makes the crispy base taste almost savoury.

Double decker may be a strange chocolate bar, but it is one that you will not know what it tastes like until you try it, and therefore you should try it, you just dont know what you are missing!

Summary: Wierdest combination, but it works.
