Cadbury Flake 99 Classic has been around since the 1930's. What you get is cone lined with Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, filled with vanilla ice cream and finished off with a Cadbury Flake 99. These come in packs of four but I'm not sure how much I paid in Tesco because they were in among a whole lot of other shopping. I would guess at about £1.68 for a four pack. I don't often buy ice cream because there is only me to feed and I get tempted to eat too many if I have them sitting there in the freezer. It's easier not to but that to resist temptation. Anyway, I got these home and it was quite a hot day, so I was concerned about them melting on the ... Read the complete review

I saw these ice creams in Cooltrader and brought a pack of 4 because they were only £1.00 and I love Flakes so thought I'd see what these were like. The ice cream cone is just like a plain vanilla cornetto with hard chocolate on top to look like sauce and shaves of chocolate where the nuts should be. The cone is the same hard sugar cone as you get with a cornetto and but the big difference is that this is smooth and yummy Cadburys chocolate instead of the cheaper stuff they use on cornettos. The ice cream is quite hard and nothing like the 99 I buy from the ice cream man! The Flake is a proper Flake but smaller and it's the best thing about the ... Read the complete review

When I first saw these in the shop, I was pulled in by the whole 'Flake 99' branding which reminded me of getting ice-creams from the ice cream van when I was younger. However, once I actually tried one of the ice-creams, I found that they are essentially a set of 4 Flake 99 'themed' cornetto's, they even have the cornetto-ish flakes of chocolate on top, and the chocolate in the very end of the cone. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just not what I was expecting, then again, it was rather silly of me to think that they would pack 4 genuine flake 99's into a box. The oh so cornetto-ish mix of crunchy cone and soft ice-cream is present and one could not argue that isn't ... Read the complete review

I don't understand this Ice cream at all, it's called a 99 because that's how much the ice cream costs. The ice creams were never called this because it was a good brand name like Cadbury's are doing with this. However on a plus side these ice creams are delicious, the ice cream is soo soft and thick, and wont fall off the side when it starts to melt like a typical old style 99 would. The chocolate one the top layer of the ice cream is a particularly appretiated part of this ice cream as it means that the flake isn't the only chocolate on it. The cone was a nice suprise as it was very nice, I didn't expect it to be as good as it was, nothing like the ... Read the complete review
