Cadbury Flake (Ice Cream)

Description: Manufacturer: Cadbury's / Type: Ice Cream / The ever popular Flake now as an ice cream.

... with small chunks of Chocolate Flake and tiny speckles of milk chocolate. It looks nice enough, but nothing paticularly special for £2.24. I got the tub out the freezer and gave it a few minutes to soften before opening it and scooping some out. The ice cream was still a bit too cold and was too firm to get out easily, so I left it for ten minutes and cam back to it because I really like soft ice cream. Afterwards, the spoon went into the ice cream easily enough to scoop out a nice big bowl for me to tuck into :)...more

Premium Review Cadbury Flake (Ice Cream): Cadbury should stick to making chocolates. (552 words)

I'm always happy to buy a plain vanilla ice cream but my daughter loves chocolate ice cream and persuaded me to buy this on a recent shopping trip. This ice cream is £2.24 for a tub which I thought was really expensive to be honest, I only pay about £1.80 at the most. I thought it would be worth a try because of the brand name - Cadbury which is a company that produces my favourite chocolate that is of a very high standard. Cadbury's Flake Ice Cream comes in a square shaped bright yellow and purple coloured tub. The lid has the Cadbury's logo and an image of a scoop of the ice cream, plus a few Chocolate Flakes piled on top of one another which ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nothing special here.... (238 words)

I am a huge fan of Cadburys and love a lot of the products they make. Flake is one of my favorites and when I saw this ice cream on special offer, I just couldnt resist snapping it up. I wouldn't have tried it first time at normal price, as the prices are so high, if I didnt like it it wouldnt be worth it. Flake ice cream comes in a plastic tub (I am not sure if it is recyclable or not, but you can wash it out and reuse it). The lid is easy to peel off and shows some pale coloured ice cream inside with some chocolate chunks. The ice cream is a creamy vanilla flavour and has generous helpings of flake spread inside it. The ice cream is nice tasting, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The crumbliest, flakiest ice cream (457 words)

I'm a big ice cream fan but get bored with the plain old vanilla and strawberry varieties. Ben & Jerry's is great, but a bit too pricey to buy on a regular basis. One week when I was perusing the freezer cabinets at Tesco, a bright yellow tub jumped out a me. Well, not literally, thankfully. Ooo, Cadbury's Flake Ice Cream. "Deliciously luxurious vanilla ice cream with pieces of Cadbury Flake milk chocolate," it said on the lid. That sounds good I thought, and even better it had 79p off and was down to £2.00. A tub then did literally jump into my trolley - with a little help of course ;) I resisted the temptation to try it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cadbury Flake (Ice Cream): Brilliant ice cream at a reasonable price! (149 words)

I bought this in the co-op a few weeks ago for about £2 for a one litre tub. It is a very good size, perfect for a family to share and both the packaging and the ice cream itself has a very appealing appearance. The ice cream consists of vanilla ice cream with chunks of flake on top aswell as tiny bits of flake embedded in the ice cream and chunks of flake aswell. The ice cream is very creamy and easy to eat whilst the ratio of flake is very good in comparison to ice cream. The flake is not affected by being frozen or in ice cream, it still tastes just as cadburys flake should do-smooth, creamy and flaky! 100mls carries 6.8g of fat and 130 calories which isn't too ...  Read the complete review
