Cadbury flakes have been around for a long time, my parents certainly remember having one as a treat when they were younger. When I was a child I always thought of flakes as an adult choice of chocolate, they seemed more grown up and sophisticated that other choices and now I know why my mum encouarged these thoughts in my head. Have you ever given a flake to a 5/6 year old? Talk about crumbly flakey mess! So I shall certainly be passing on my childhoos thoughts to my own children, plus this of course has added benefits - I get to eat all of the flakes in the multipack! So as you can guess already I quite like to eat a flake. They are made from cadbury ... Read the complete review

Cadbury flake. Cadbury flakes have a long history they were born in 1920 when my now deceased parents were children. Apparently Cadbury flake was conceived by a worker who noticed that the spills from chocolate bar formed a flaky crumbly overflow of chocolate. The management tried this chocolate and was impressed and the flake chocolate bar was born. Flake bars made from that delicious Cadbury chocolate, the taste we tend to compare other chocolates. Flakes were originally just the standard dairy milk chocolate taste. Now there are various flavors of chocolate and 2 sizes. .Let me tell you about the standard dairy milk flake first ... Before buying one of these, consider the following options. Are you walking around, totally not paying attention to the chocolate bar, or are you sitting comfortably. Hopefully the second, as these really do flake everywhere. Cadburys have been making this chocolate bar for years and years, it was from this model that the twirl was introduced. It tastes of pure dairy milk chocolate, but a bit lighter than the dairy milk bars, as it is isnt as thick and solid. The texture is very crumbly, and just one bite can make the bar break into bits, hence the need to sit down with a plate to catch all the debris. They taste great, ... Read the complete review

What is it about a flake that makes it taste uniquely different from a standard chocolate bar? It is, after all, just chocolate but presented in this flakey form the taste seems to be heightened; maximum pleasure to the taste buds is the result. I love Cadburys Chocolate, it is my favorite; dare I say to a chocoholic it's the equivalent of a Class A drug; mainstream and highly addictive, it should be banned!!! I am joking!!! Don't even think about banning it; there would be civil insurrection and rioting on a grand scale. Coming back to this flake thing, there are some who have a problem with the crumbs fall down their front with all the implications that that ... Read the complete review

I can't be the only one to remember the various seductive adverts for Cadbury flakes throughout the years? Seeing the chocolate literally flake away as the lovely ladies ate them was enough to make any child who adored chocolate (and loved even more to make a mess!) want one! Being female, the lovely ladies certainly had no real impact for me to buy one - it was all about the chocolate. There is something about having Cadbury's chocolate re-created into the flake texture that seems to increase the smoothness and creaminess (I find the same with Cadbury's Bubbly and Wispa). As much as I love Cadbury's chocolate, Flakes always enhance the enjoyment. ... Read the complete review
