Just a quick one on Fry's Turkish Delight, simply because I had one at lunch and thought that I want to share with the world the wonder of it! This particular brand of Turkish Delight I believe, is my favourite. And I have had a lot - including Thorntons, Dairy Milk and even Albanian and the original stuff covered in icing sugar from Turkey. However, even the original stuff doesn't compare, in my humble opinion! It's Rose and Lemon combo really hits the spot when you want something sweet, but not too chocolaty. The only criticism is that it's just too small!! I know Turkish Delight isn't everyone's cup of tea, and I know this is a lot smaller than many of my ... Read the complete review

I hadn't had a Fry's Turkish Delight in years when my granddaughter bought me one from the shop today, it would have been thoughtful had she not handed it me with the words "I didn't know what to get you but then I thought all old people like these"! These haven't changed one little bit! They haven't got bigger or smaller, the inside is the exactly the same and if anything the chocolate seems even creamier than it used to! While we moan and groan about the years making the bars smaller or the ingredients less sugary, the good old Turkish Delight is a little foil wrapped time capsule of old fashioned-ness! It's a lovely little bar, and it ... Read the complete review

This is a not a favourite of mine. Instantly recognisable because of its bright purple packaging with eastern style white writing, this consists of a jelly like substance coated in cadbury's dairy milk chocolate. As with normal dairy milk the chocolate is quite rich and creamy with a distinctly chocolately aroma and flavour. From here it goes down hill in my opinion. Biting through the relatively crumbly chocolate you get into a bright pink sugary jelly. IT smells floral at first, rather like a cheap air freshener. Tasting this jelly is not a pleasant experience. It is sweet and sugary, but there is a flowery undertone which saturates your mouth and nose very ... Read the complete review

I really, really love chocolate and sweets- and always like to have a little of something sweet after a meal. I don't want to get fat though, so have been trying some low fat alternatives lately which will satisfy my sweet tooth without piling on the pounds. One of my favourite's at the moment is a Fry's Turkish Delight. *PRICE AND AVAILABILITY* Lately I have been noticing that these are available from lots of places. I usually get mine from the newsagents where they are placed with all the other chocolate bars. I have also seen them for sale in off licence's, supermarkets, garages etc. The price can range from 50p to 70p ... Read the complete review

If my memory serves me well I don1t seem to see Fry`s Turkish Delight placed in a prominent place on the supermarket shelf anymore . Though Cadbury offer many very good deals on their larger chocolate bars. Go into any of the leading supermarkets and there will be a Cadbury promotion somewhere instore. Does anyone remember the advertising campaign that ran during the 1970`s and 80`s? The beautiful young woman in the dessert who was waiting for her Prince, he arrived to wipe away her tears, presented her with a Fry`s Turkish Delight and then cut in in half with his sword for her. My, my, how times have changed! Fry`s Turkish delight has a long history, ... Read the complete review
