Advantages: Taste Great, Brilliant Variety, Perfect for Parties

Disadvantages: Contain traces of nuts

In my opinion, Cadbury's Heroes are one of the best assortments of sweeties around. For a start, I am a big chocolate fan and my preference has always been Cadbury's, closely followed by Galaxy. Cadbury's chocolate is sweet and creamy yet not too sickly as Galaxy can tend to be after a while of munching! The chocolate is also smooth and melts nicely in your mouth.

Heroes were first launched in the United Kingdom in September 1999 and have been extremely popular since. You can purchase Heroes in either a tin which weighs 1kg and costs roughly £9.99 or tub which weigh 285g, 480g and 2.5kg as well. Obviously the price depends on size and where you buy the product from. These sweets are available from most supermarkets such as Asda, Woolworths, Sainsbury's, Tesco etc.

Heroes contain miniature sizes bars of Cadburys Dairy Milk, Caramel, Whole Nut, Twirl, Time Out, Dream, Fudge, Crunchie, Picnic and Nuts About Caramel. Personally, I love all of them but my favourite is definitely Crunchie with its crunchy honeycomb centre. Each of the sweets come individually foil wrapped in the same design as the original version of the sweets which keeps them nice and fresh and makes them easy to identify. The sweets also come with a little booklet which tells you what each sweet is and what is contained inside them.

Dairy Milk - The Dairy Milk consists of plain Cadbury's chocolate which is also used to coat the above sweets mentioned. The chocolate, as mentioned above, is sweet and creamy yet not sickly. In a full Dairy Milk bar weighing 250g there is a glass and a half of full milk, so you can imagine how creamy the chocolate tastes. I like this sweet because it isn't sickly, so after a standard sized bar or a miniature bar you don't feel icky. From time to time I think it is also nice to eat plain chocolate rather than it having a fancy coating or centre.

Dairy Milk Caramel - This is exactly the same as the Dairy Milk mentioned above, although it has a soft, smooth caramel centre. The caramel isn't hard, but extremely soft and melts away in your mouth. Too much of this sweet and you will definitely feel sick as the caramel is pretty sweet! However, it tastes delicious.

Dairy Milk Whole Nut - Again, this is extremely similar to the Dairy Milk although it has hazelnuts in the centre. The delicious nuts are crunchy and add something different to your usual bar of chocolate. I don't find this too sickly at all as the nuts are quite savoury.

Twirl - The twirl also consists of just plain chocolate, however, the twirl is not a solid piece of chocolate like the dairy milk but is a lot softer and flakier. The twirls centre has air bubbles in between each swirl of chocolate, making it soft to the bite. I think the sweet tastes almost the same as the Dairy Milk.

Time Out - The Time Out is definitely one of my favourites. The Time Out consists of layers of wafer and chocolate in the centre coated with Dairy Milk chocolate on the outside. This is one of my all time favourites because the wafer centre tastes delicious and is something different than many other sweets in the shops. I also don't find this sweet to be sickening as it isn't ridiculously sweet.

Dream - This is my least favourite of all the Heroes sweets as I find it extremely sweet and can never stomach more than one in any one go! Dream is the same style as the Dairy Milk although it is made from white chocolate, which as you will know, is sweet than your ordinary milk chocolate. However, if you have a very sweet tooth then this is one for you.

Fudge - This is similar to the Dream in the way that it is very sweet. However, the fudge is basically made of fudge and coated with Dairy Milk chocolate. The fudge is nice and soft and quite creamy. The good thing about the fudge is that it doesn't stick to your teeth like some fudge can do - ergh!

Crunchie - This is my ultimate favourite! I love the crunchy honeycomb centre as it is something different that you don't often get in sweets. The honeycomb centre is sweet but not overly sweet so you can have a sneaky few! The honeycomb centre is covered in Dairy Milk Chocolate too.

Picnic - The picnic is basically as the name describes, a picnic full of goodies inside! The sweet is coated with milk chocolate and inside contains caramel, nugget, raisins and peanuts. The sweet tastes delicious and is also not overly sweet.

Nuts About Caramel - This is a lovely sweet and contains nuts and caramel just as the name states. The sweet is also coated with milk chocolate and has a lovely soft texture and centre. It is quite sweet so I don't think you could have too many at once!

I don't know exactly how many sweets you get per pack, it obviously depends on the size you bought. However, you do get a lot and a variety of each flavour. I think this is ideal for this time of year (Christmas) as people have different tastes and they are great for parties etc.

Summary: Yummy yum yum!

These are the best of the similar things I reckons, mainly because of the caramel ones
