... calorie mousse that does a good impersonation of the real McCoy. The mousse looks as though it contains plenty of chocolate and first impressions tell me that they have managed to inject plenty of air into the mixture. We have to accept that this low calorie version is more than likely not going to taste as lush and extravagant as the full fat mousse. One thing imparticular struck me straight away, the deep swirl of chocolate mousse felt quite firm as I slid my teaspoon into it. The mousse has a strong taste tha...more

Premium Review Cadbury Light Mousse: There's a Mousse aboot the Hoose. (627 words)

Cadbury's `anything` sounds good to me, I had often bought the little pots of Cadbury's chocolate mousses but I had never tried the Cadbury's light chocolate mousse. I seem to be forever eating pots of fruit yoghurt and although the majority of them are good you sometimes just need a change. Yet again these were another of my discount store bargains and I paid just 80p for a pack of four Cadbury's light mousses, the normal RRP is around 95p for four pots. Each little pot of 55g contains just 60 calories, so they are a treat that you can afford to eat even if you are trying to be good, I am wondering if they are on the menu for Weight Watchers ? ( If ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lighter option let-down from Cadbury's (577 words)

I am a big Cadbury fan, and often treat myself to a bar of dairy milk or a bag of buttons, but sometimes I fancy a dessert treat and will buy a Cadbury trifle or better still, a Buttons twinpot! The problem is though, these are all calorie laden treats, and with this in mind I thought I would give 'lighter options' a try. I saw these Cadbury Light Mousse desserts priced at just 99p for 4 x 55g pots in my local Morrisons last week, and decided these would be the first 'lighter option' dessert I would try. Taken in by the trademark Cadbury purple packaging, and the promise of only 60 calories a pot, I wondered if I had found a low calorie dessert that ...  Read the complete review

***CADBURY*** As everyone knows Cadbury have been making yummy chocolate bars, desserts and other sweet treats for years. They have produced many yummy chocolate bars and keep coming out with new ideas for us all to try. John Cadbury the founder of Cadbury chocolate opened his first shop back in 1824 selling tea, coffee, cocoa and drinking chocolate. In 1897 the first Cadbury Dairy Milk went on sale, made of milk powder paste, cocoa mass, cocoa butter and sugar. From 1908 - 2008 Cadbury also introduced many new bars of chocolate such as Milk Tray, Crunchie, Flake, Fudge, Roses, Curly Wurly, Creme Egg, Boost, and many more favourite chocolate bars such ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A little bit of what you fancy (185 words)

I'm a big fan of all things Cadbury's, but don't tend to spoil myself with chocolate all that much. However these mousses are great, at only 81 cals per pot. The pot is the same size as any other standard size mousse, and is certainly big enough for a treat. The mouse itself is extremely rich and thick, not at all like some of the horrible graining diet or value mousses. It is quite runny in consistency, more like a chocolate fool than a chocolate mouse, which tends to be quite solid. This gives the effect of a very natural product, with a homemade consistency. While there are artificial flavourings within the mousse, it is one of the most natural I have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cadbury Light Mousse: Hardly Any Taste (244 words)

My mum brought these in Tesco cos they have loads less calories and fat than the normal Cadburys mousses that we buy. She is on a health kick so thinks we should all join her i think and that does my head in when she buys things like this cos they're never as good as the stuff will full sugar and fat. These taste really fake and I didn't enjoy them at all. They have a nice light feeling as I eat them but dont taste of chocolate very much and are too sweet cos Cadburys have used so many sweetners to make them. I think they have a powdery taste like coco powder that hasn't been mixed in properly but I can't see any powder so that might be my ...  Read the complete review
