Advantages: Delicate tree decorations that are so temtping

Disadvantages: Well...if they just hang there what do you expect?

Christmas comes but once a year, but in my daughters case Cadbury tree decorations have come twice!
She loves Christmas, the children are excited and its a magical time.
The tree is always the focal point, she loves to decorate it to the hilt, usually searching the local hardware and discount stores for new and inexpensive `baubles`.
Whereas my tree goes up in five minutes flat my daughters is a labour of love. But now her son is 17 months old the tree is more labour than love!

Ten delicate Cadbury chocolate tree decorations wrapped in festive silver paper will cost you about £1.99. Not bad, that is about 20 pence a decoration. They are very nicely presented. Holly, Father Christmas and Christmas trees are among some of the decoration on the paper coverings.
Each decoration has a little gold string attached to it to tie it to the branch of the tree.
Now I have spotted many inferior imitations in the shops, Lidl have recently had lots of chocolate decorations in, but im afraid they are just wolves in sheep's clothing to me!
The silver paper covering looks fantastic, then you bite into the chocolate and instead of that lovely creamy unique Cadbury flavour you have an impostor in your mouth...its not pleasant let me tell you.
The Cadbury tree decorations are lovingly packed into a cardboard and plastic `bubble` type packaging, so usually they remain intact.

Intact...Did I say Intact?
My 17 month old grandson soon cottoned on, like his Granny he is rather partial to his grub. The lure of the silver paper was just too much to bear. He reached out his delicate (not) little hand and took a swipe at the tree, the laughing Santa laughed no more, he was practically swallowed whole with paper!
Of course that was only the beginning of the story...my daughter is now on her second packet of Cadbury tree decorations, there is an element of doubt as to whether the Christmas tree will be able to attend the day this year due to unforeseen and repeated attacks by a minor (very minor at that)!

Of course no one can blame him, maybe at some point when her son is a good few years older my daughter should consider approaching Cadburys to give him a promotional job, if nothing else he is good for business!
Her £2 investment has now doubled and im sure I saw her eyes wandering in desperation to the cheap imitations on Lidls shelves!

But you have to give Cadburys a pat on the back, millions of chocolate bars in hundreds of different forms fill our sweetie shelves. Life wouldn't be the same without them.
A Cadburys advent calendar and a selection box is an essential part of any childhood.

Summary: At 20p each they are great value, but can they last till Christmas Day?

This made me chuckle. When I was younger I remember the papers of such chocolates just dangling from teh tree because my little brother (about 20 months at the time0 had eaten them. xx
